That was until I had a son in 2023. I instantly knew I wanted my son to attend LTA as they had played such a pivotal role in my daughter's learning process. When I made my first outreach they were completely full and had no spots at the time. So, I waited and one random day I went to the school and Ms. Ginatay was so pleasant, she provided me with all the information needed for enrollment and we arranged a walk through even though I was already familiar with the school there were some new faces and few changes that had taken place over the years. My son began his first day of pre-k this past September and I am completely satisfied with the level of care they provide to my child. Ms. Mijae, & Ms. Ebony are amazing, they are so patient with their class, and I have watched first hand as they multitask and meet each child's need. I am so thankful to have a safe place to send my child and know that they are also receiving quality care and great education.

We needed a center that accepted subsidy but did not want to sacrifice quality child care. From his first day we felt like family. Everyone was warm and cheerful, they listened and got to know us well immediately. Within a year I knew I had to be there every day with my grandson and join the amazing team of Teachers who make every day a safe, fun, learning experience! I have been Teaching at LTA for over a year and I truly enjoy coming there every single day to expand minds, further development and promote independence while having fun! I am surrounded by many creative souls with caring hearts in addition to two very dedicated administrator. Jackie is one of the most accepting and empathetic people I've ever known and Gina is a calm cool and collected computer whiz who is also an Amazing Mom and mentor. Mrs. Bernat emailed me back and told me to call her. This wonderful lady explained the step by step enrollment process. Because she was so kind and eager to help me, I enrolled in fall semester of 2012. I filled out an admissions form online. I called to schedule a placement test. After the placement test, I spoke to a college advisor that helped me choose my classes. My college advisor, Mr. Handling, is wonderful. Mr. Handling has taken the time to understand my educational needs, which has made my transition to college much easier. He has guided me in choosing the appropriate classes for my major. This summer, I decided to take summer classes. Mr. Handling advised me that summer math classes required lots of work in a short period of time. He suggested that I only take two classes this semester. I am so glad I listened to him. The college advisors at Delaware Tech truly care about the academic success of the students that seek their guidance. My most challenging class was my math class this summer. I could not have passed my math class if it was not for my previous math teacher Marney and my current teacher Amanda. In addition, there is a wonderful group of tutors at the Math Success Center. I spent my summer at the Math Success Center being tutored by Marty, Chelsea, Rich, Kyle, Paul and Sam. I was really struggling to learn algebra, however, with the help and encouragement of all the staff members at the center I passed my class. I could not thank the math center staff enough for their dedication and determination to see me and other students do well in class. They truly do care and strive to help everyone that enters the Math Success Center. The service is free and worth taking advantage of. I am truly grateful and appreciate every person that has sat with me and encourage me at the Math Success Center. I truly love being a student at Delaware Tech. The teachers and staff are super friendly. The College student body is very diverse. There are many non-traditional college students such as myself. I was scared to be the oldest person in class. It is wonderful being in a class with people as young as 18 and old enough to be a grandparent. I truly love Delaware Tech!

The grammar and vocabulary exercises he provided focused more on how native French is spoken as compared to my university courses. Sports are well organized and football is like none other, just look at the last 10 years of accomplishments. I love this group. I attended it when I was a student at U. Delaware, and I also lived in Newark…read moretwo more years, during which time I continued participating in this group. I am very grateful that I was allowed (and encouraged) to participate in this group when I was no longer a student. This time in my life was somewhat difficult, and I often felt lonely and out of place living in a college town when I was no longer a student, and this ministry group helped me to feel appreciated and feel a sense of belonging. This place serves weekly dinners, followed by services. I loved the services, especially when they had traditional hymn-singing. I found the pastor, Bruce Heggen, to be thought-provoking and to raise deep and interesting questions which helped challenge me spiritually. This group is pretty inclusive in terms of people who have different beliefs and faith backgrounds. Although it's associated with an ELCA church, it serves people from the more liberal ELCA denominations as well as people from the more conservative Missouri Synod, and everyone coexists. There are also a few people who show up here who do not have lutheran backgrounds, and I think the group would be welcoming to non-lutherans (I did not grow up Lutheran although I've attended Lutheran churches and are familiar with their liturgy and traditions). This group also does a lot of other things, including running a tutoring service. The also allowed us to use their space one year for dancing, as the Perkins scrounge closes at 10:30, and we had a few gatherings here in the dining area with dancing for a couple hours after the scrounge closed. The group also runs a fellowiship for the service of the hungry (FISH). I am really impressed with how much this small group does! I think their biggest service though is to the student body, providing a community gathering space.
