I used to work there before the pandemic. I have to agree. The people are very rude and mean to the testers. I always felt bad for the people that would come in to test already stressed out and nervous only to be talked to like trash. I would seat people for their tests and whisper "good luck" to them. It was overheard and I was reprimanded for it. Stating that all I had to do was seat them and nothing else. I left before the pandemic shut everything down and found employment elsewhere. I also bore the brunt of the meanness and it got to the point that I could no longer take it. She was probably going to fire me anyway. I would not recommend this branch to anyone. read more

I just tested today, and every other review here is spot on--this testing center is terrible. I've never been to jail, but I think that's where one of the staff was trained. Be prepared for rude, brusque treatment. (And if you need a sip of water, you have to go into the bathroom to drink!) Highly recommend that you avoid this center at all costs. read more

THE ONLY THING THIS CENTER TESTS IS YOUR PATIENCE. (In all seriousness). Please take the 2 minutes to read this review before testing here!! I wish I could give this testing center 0/5 for my rating. The staff who work here at this center are the worst staff I've ever encountered anywhere... ever. Specifically, there is one older lady who is deliberately rude, condescending, and probably enjoys bossing other people around while they are stressed about taking a professional exam as a power-trip. She made one of my friends who was testing with me that same day cry in front of several others of my friends due to her rudeness. There are no words for how socially unacceptable and humiliating they treat you here. I just want to reiterate: I am not making this stuff up or exaggerating. I tested there months ago and I still have enough residual anger from my experience testing here that I felt the need to post this review now. There are hundreds of medical students and other professional students who are forced to take exams at this center because of its location in Lynchburg. I have personally known several students who have chosen to drive hours out of their way early in the morning to Roanoke or Richmond to avoid testing at this center. Throughout my test day, I had an extremely kind and deferential demeanor towards the staff, doing nothing deliberate to irritate them or violate any rules. However, they sought out ways to intimidate me and many others there, adding stress to an already hugely stressful test day, which at that point was the most important exam in my life so far. I realize testing environments should be strict. But there is no excuse for intentionally making people feel disrespected. It's not fair to a student to be constantly interrupted during your timed exam being told to "pull up your mask" when it is already almost covering your eyes. It is not fair to a student to interrupt their test to ask them to uncross their legs because it is a "safety violation," or to place passive-aggressive demanding sticky notes three different times on a student's desk while testing. It is not fair to be threatened 3 different times that my "exam would be shut off and not reported." It is not fair for the staff to talk so loudly and inconsiderately that it is clearly audible from the next room over... while answering every question with foam earplugs... underneath the supposedly "soundproof" headphones provided. Lastly, it is not fair for a medical student who sacrifices two years of their life to study for one exam - which, in many ways, determines their career trajectory as a doctor serving patients for the rest of their life - to be treated like scum on test day when it actually counts. I realize that life is not fair. Unfairness is part of life. But if I can introduce just a hint of fairness into your life by warning you to STAY AWAY FROM THIS TEST CENTER when it is an important test you are taking for your career, then I will be satisfied. (Medical students taking USMLE or COMLEX and nursing students taking NCLEX, please test in Roanoke instead. You absolutely deserve it for how much you study.) read more

DO NOT use this testing center. Horrible experience. Staff is unbelievably rude. I have never been spoken to so poorly. They literally bark at you. They talk so loudly the entire time while you're trying to test (including talking on the phone) and have zero regard for anyone testing. Would give them a 0/10. read more

Drove 4 hours to take an exam at this site due to COVID-19. Staff was extremely rude and talked VERY loud... I could here them in the other room WITH voice cancelling headphones. Then, they continued to come into the testing room talking and laughing while we were trying to test. Very distracting. read more

The women that work there are just mean and rude. Went to Roanoke for my next two exams and they were delightful. We are stressed enough going in there- no need to be treated like scum read more

I tested. I passed. However, I was stressed the entire time of my test due to Melinda, one of the individuals employed at the Prometric site. She kept arguing and threatening me over my mask and telling me that it was "too low" (it was over half way up on my nose but she wanted it up to my eyeballs). Seriously! I have been a RN for 26 years and advised her that I knew how to wear a mask. She still continued repeating that if my mask came down, "I will shut your test off". She also advised that if my feet came off of the floor "I will shut your test off". She was condescending. She was rude. And when she took me in to take my exam, the screen was blank. I sat there and finally called for help. She was MEAN and told me I needed to log into the computer, "not stare at it". I advised I could not log in, I did not have a password, etc.. I think she really enjoyed mistreating me. When I was done with my exam, I was telling the other lady (that was extremely nice) that I passed and that I was so excited, I was shaking, this Melinda looked at me and said "oh, you passed?!?!". I am 50 years old and I think she was older. I have never treated anyone the way she treated me. This is not a place to be employed to be rude...people study hard and pay money for these tests. The last thing a person needs on the most stressful day of your current existence is a rude and condescending individual to welcome you to your test- you should be relaxed. She needs to be replaced! She actually needs a job in a prison or something!!!!! read more

I went in to take my exam today. The lady at the center was extremely rude and dismissive. I am a green card holder. I brought my drivers license and green card. I was not aware i had to bring my passport. When she noticed I was not a citizen by my obvious accent she seemed very angry. At this point she blantly said " you are not a citizen, Bye have a good day and slammed the door in my face. She did not give me a chance to explain or ask any questions. She assumed that I was an undocumented "alien". I came here legally, is documented and is here legally. If this is not discrimination then I don't know what is. read more

Staff is short and remarkably unfriendly. Facility is dingy. I've been to no fewer than 5 Prometric Centers and this one is the absolute worst of all of them. Take your test in Richmond if possible. read more
