After five weeks since I sent my shock, and a week after he took my card details I rang Peter to ask when he posted it. He said "don't have the info at my fingertips, will ring you back" .
He emailed me instead! So three hours after he sent the email I read that he 'hasn't rec. my payment' WTF? I gave him my card details six day prior, last Friday. So another week delay 'cos he didn't process my payment.
So I rang him again to advise he had my card numbers and he started loudly talking over me (yelling actually) and not listening to me, so I had to yell back at him to get him to shut the fuck up so I could remind him that he had taken my card details a week prior. He replied "oh I was thinking of something else". No apology, but attempted another belligerant rant. I dunno what his problem was and didn't care so I pressed on and gave him the card details again. I then asked him how long to process the payment; his surly reply "dunno I'm not a bank". Smart-arse! So I changed tack and asked him "ok , how long in your exp." He reluctantly said "usually o'night, I dunno all banks are different". Fucken smart-arse!
Then when I asked about postage he started the surly, dumbshit, smart arse routine again. Asking me how do I want it posted, etc. Told him that seeing as he'd already charged me $35 for post one would think he already had a postage option and firm price in mind. Was $19.50 actual post cost. I demanded a refund of the difference, he refused saying it was for packaging LOL. Will allow the bank to sort that one out.
Also I complained about how long he took (5 weeks so far) and he blamed me for making a couple of changes along the way. BS again as he made the (one) change as he didn't read my order correctly. He added a Squat Control Valve 2 ($95.00) to the invoice without me ordering it. When I said I don't want that he took an entire week to send an updated invoice that reflected what I'd actually ordered.
BTW the shock (allegedly) needed a couple of extra parts ($150) but that only added a few days. And now I'm questioning if that is true, did it need new parts? After a liar lies all the time.
And no way will he get the job of rebuilding my forks next year. Or my brother's front forks. And a friend had expressed interest in having his shock rebuilt so I'll be letting him know to avoid. So that's two (maybe three) jobs lost due to his disgraceful attitude to customers. I hope his business fails as he is a cancer to the industry.
I also sent the email trail to him so he could see his fault re the added extra (SCValve), but no reply and and I bet he won't admit to his mistake.
Just a dishonest, smarmy, surly, smart arse, dickead.
I didn't research reviews online before trusting him with my suspension, but have done so now and it seems that he has more bad reviews than good.
How he still has customers I dunno. So lesson learnt; ALWAYS read reviews before ordering products or services.
Was told he'd advise when posted, and by 5.30PM next day no contact so I emailed asking post status. He replied 7.00PM. Was posted yesterday (Thursday) and now the PO is closed. Jesus, it just never ends with this bloke. read more
