Amazing windows! We all get tired of low quality, overcharging, work. Promax did the job on time, but also did an outstanding job. I had talked to many contractors and Promax came in and gave me great ideas on the best strategy for the new windows and the price was great too. The new windows and style they suggested were perfect. You can't even see any work errors as they look like they belong there. Another high note is they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves too. We had hail damage from the March 2024 hail storm that damaged our roof, gutters and siding. We hired Promax to do all 3 projects last fall with the roof being completed first. The roofing crew did a fantastic job and were very conscientious on the detail of the work and keeping the area very clean and doing the final cleanup. John and the crew also addressed a few alterations i suggested with zero issues. The next job was the vinyl siding and the Director of Operations, Gino Grohler and his crew did a remarkable job on the siding. The crew were OCD on making sure everything was plum and square and even adjusted a few items to insure that. I also asked them to do some extra door reframing projects on the side that they had no problem with and were very meticulous in completing the entire job. Gino stopped by every morning and usually at least one more time each day to check on how things were going. He is very keen on all construction issues and provided excellent guidance for his crews when needed. I was working outside on some other projects and the crew really had a fun time doing their job with a great attitude! The last portion was the gutters which that crew did a perfect job on and were very accommodative working with me to make any adjustments to downspout locations for aesthetics, etc. The other benefit of hiring Promax to do all 3 jobs was that they were able to manage and coordinate the projects in the proper order to do the jobs most efficiently & end up with the best result! Our house had flooded from upstairs to the downstairs and once insurance said go get a construction company to get started I had called John from Pro Max construction and let me tell you how amazing it was! He instantly came out with a crew that started that day! my flooring throughout the whole house had to be pulled out, house repainted, new counter tops, electrical redone, and bathrooms redone. i was impressed with the final job its like a brand new house and everyone was super nice and respectful. i have 4 kids and 3 dogs and the crews that came out treated us like family! i couldn't have had a better company that worked with us and was so patient with us as we had to stay in the house with all the work going on! thank you so much to Pro Max!!! read more

Promax did an EXCELLENT concrete job at my house. I was scheduled right away once the weather cleared. Unfortunately I was out of town when my project was initially scheduled, but that didn't hinder anything. Pro max staff worked with me and waited until I was home to start project. Initial contact was made with John Schilawski (owner/salesman) to get a bid. He was a good salesman and seemed to offer a great service. The first disappointment was when asked if Promax had their own crews or subcontracted. We were told they had their own crews, but both jobs, roof replacement and gutter replacement, were done by separate contractors (which is why we put "No" on the question "Were services performed by the provider?"). We felt lied to, but let it go. As it turned out, those contractors were amazing, and did a fantastic job. We will be reviewing them separately. We had also been told that John would show up at the beginning, middle, and end of the job to check on progress and collect checks. He appeared on the first day before work had even begun (the crew was setting up) and collected the first check. Later that day the dumpster arrived, and the driver drove across wet ground rather than staying on the driveway. Considerable ruts were made which needed filled. After speaking to the crew boss (again, a different company), it was agreed that we should wait until later in the week and speak to John when he arrived. He never showed up. We didn't hear from him again until he called, two weeks later, to inform us that the gutter crew would arrive. We naively assumed John would show up that day. The crew did a great job, but we never saw John. John called the last evening to ask about the job. I told him that we were happy with the work done, but unhappy about the ruts and another minor issue. He informed us that someone would be stopping by to collect both final checks. We stated that we would be happy to give him one check, but were concerned about giving the final check in full until the damage was repaired. He flew into a rage, accused us of trying to get out of paying at all, and refused to even listen to our concerns. He went so far as to indicate that if we did not pay in full immediately, the crews would not be paid. Our understanding was that Promax would cover any damage that was caused, and in fact has insurance to do so. Had we been given the chance, we would have been more than willing to come to some sort of agreement, but the hostility we received prevented that. We did pay in full only because we were not willing to short-change the crews that did such fantastic work. We heard from Promax (NOT John) a week or two after final payment was made and were told that they would have topsoil brought in, but not until spring, "because nothing would grow until then, anyway." We highly doubt we will ever hear from them again and will have to incur the cost of having topsoil brought in ourselves, but will update this review if they follow through. The only reason Promax rated a D instead of an F is because we now know of two excellent companies for construction/repair work which we will use and recommend in the future. read more
