While in the valley, I wanted a place to workout away from home. I was excited to try this gym…read morebecause I hadn't gotten a chance to workout in the valley. I messaged crossfit on Facebook and asked if it was okay for me to drop in. They said yes and that the workout started at 10:00. I showed up to stretch and roll out at 9:45 with the impression that I would workout at 10:00. 10:00 rolled around and Jacob let me know that they typically waited a few minutes for people to finish coming in which was fine. It's now 10:20 and we are just now beginning the stretching/warm up/ plyometrics. I'm a little upset because typically by this time we should be warming up for the WOD. We begin warming up for the WOD at 10:30-10:35. We don't start the workout until 10:45. I unfortunately had to leave at 11 (which is the time it was supposed to end) because of a prior engagement so I was only able to complete half of the workout. I was pretty sad because I love working out and was really looking forward to trying this gym. I think this has potential, just needs a little refining.

The coaches, owners, and members made me feel right at home and welcomed me. If I'm in town again I'll definitely be back.

This is the sunset side of South Padre Island. This is the Bayside... And it's absolutely…read morebeautiful. It's more tranquil. We found this beautiful place and I loved that it was super clean too! The giant overhead fans helped keep us cool because it was a hot sweaty day. We rented a golf cart and made our way over here. Their homemade scratch margaritas are good, but definitely not sweet enough... And ironically I don't like sweet. They just were a touch too sour, but I do love that they used only fresh ingredients. The surprising thing was the crab fingers... They were worth every dime. I could see the hard work the chef had to put into preparing them for us. They were mind blowing. I could eat a whole pound all by myself easily! The service was fantastic and the young waiter knew everything there was to know about the menu. I love the idea that we could bring our own fish that we caught and the chef would clean it and serve it for us for a small fee... We didn't do that, but I would love to try that next time. I love the tequila they used to make our margaritas, it is Toro. I wanted to take a picture of the bottle at our table drinking the margaritas. The manager must be used to people stealing or running off with their bottles of tequila, because she was not having that. I don't know if it was Covid fear, or crime fear, or just not wanting to hassle... But there was no photo shoots going to be happening at our table with the bottle of tequila. So we went up to the bar and asked if we could take a picture with the bottle... I just wanted you to know in my yelp review, which tequila to order because it was so good. So she said we could pose with the bottle, but not touch it. Maybe she was nervous about Covid. It's not a big deal, I just thought that was a little bit different. :/ And yet, don't let that discourage you from eating here. Our waiter was phenomenal and the service was truly great. We loved our time here and we will come back. The food is exceptional. Our waiter told us that the chef is an internationally acclaimed chef and he makes all his own recipes Including the butter. And, I should say, the butter gets rave reviews!

This is not just another martial arts school...this is a place where everyone--students and…read moreinstructors alike--is passionate about learning, growing, and challenging themselves in a supportive environment. The instructors are highly skilled and genuinely motivated about teaching. They take the time to explain techniques thoroughly and make sure everyone is progressing at their own pace, whether you're a beginner or have prior experience. Master Raul Sosa is the cornerstone of this school's success. He's energetic, passionate, welcoming, friendly, and brings a sense of community and family to every single class. I've made lifelong friends here and the camaraderie is one of the best parts of the school! The curriculum of Kuk Sool Won is well-rounded, with a strong focus on both technique and fitness. Whether you're looking to get in shape, learn self-defense, or compete, there's something for everyone. I particularly love how they incorporate real-world applications and practical scenarios into the training. I travel extensively for work, wherever I go I try to find a place to train while away from home…read more I've been in Judo and Bjj for 30 years. I have been fortunate enough to train at many different gyms around the world. I have had the chance to train with some of the best in the game. I can attest that Ralph Garcia ranks in the category of being amongst the great coaches I have had the opportunity to share the Mat with. His ability to recognize minute details that could change ones game is on point. This is one of those gyms I feel could be one of the elite gyms given the right environment. However, this town is saturated with other competing gyms for the population. Being a Black belt, I tend to be a bit more critical when visiting another gym. If I feel the environment isn't a good fit, I may only visit once. This is absolutely not the case here. I was immediately welcomed as if I was family. This is exactly what I look for when searching out a temporary home away from home. Everyone I've met at this gym has been extremely welcoming. Ralph Garcia brings a wealth of quality knowledge to the mats. His ability to convey easily understandable instructions makes this a valuable school for beginners and advanced students. There isn't an ounce of ego here, as it should be. I highly recommend this place to train. Thank you guys for all of the time you've invested in myself and my coworkers who also train here. OSS!!

Highly recommend the Perfect Body Studio!…read more I signed up for the 6 Week Challenge back in January and lost a total of 17 lbs within that period. The weekly nutrition consultations were incredibly helpful. Four weeks into my challenge, I hit a plateau, but my coach adjusted my diet, and by the next weigh-in, I had dropped body fat and gained muscle. After my 6-week challenge, I thought I could manage on my own, but I returned in March and committed for a year. I've developed better eating habits and significantly boosted my self-confidence. Unlike other gyms, the staff at The Perfect Body Studio will call you if you miss a session, reminding you why you started in the first place. I'd rather invest my money in my health now than in medication later. Love you all for making me feel like more than just a client!
