I would not ever recommend Doug's transmission to anyone that don't know what they're doing I took…read moremine in they rebuilt it I took it back under warranty because it was throwing up transmission fluid out the dipstick and was taking to long to shift out of gears they said it was the transmission breather tube clogged up and charged me 75.00 to fix something they missed I am st having trouble with it shifting out so I took it somewhere else and the new guy found old gasket material in it where it was jammed in at the plat where the balls are and they where trying to push through the plate so don't take anything to them to fix

Its a nightmare to have car trouble on a trip so far from home. After searching around a little and asking a few locals for some good reliable mechanics in the area we eventually headed to this Doug's transmission place. Wonderfull southern hospitality. It looked a little sketchy at first glance but after entering its was really nice. We received extremely good service. Diagnostic test took about 30 minuets but was well worth it. I highly recommend this place. It's kinda hard to come by good honest reliable mechanics these days with modern day vehichles basically being drivable computers. Great place!!

When my 2000 chevy pickup 4x4 went down I called them again to see about getting it done as well. Again I had the same great experience with them on this one they were within their estimate on parts labor and time. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE THAT NEEDS A TRANSMISSION. They do it all and keep a good supply of parts they also perform other work as well see them for a lot more than just transmission work. He left our car there for about 324 weeks , and I had to pay for a rent , a car that whole time , which ended up being around twelve or fifteen hundred. Got my car back was going back home on the interstate, and my car was doing the same thing.So we called him back , and he told us to bring it back in that he would look at it some more. I don't know what he did , but it seemed to work. We\nHad a 2 year warranty on the transmission.So after about a year and three months , my car started doing the exact same thing that it was doing before. So we called him and told him what was going on.And he said that he couldn't find the paperwork to prove that it was still under warran. We searched and searched , and finally found the paperwork that we had at home , and it definitely showed that it was still under warranty. We took the car back to him and he said it needed to be flushed out that it was going to be $300.So we paid the three hundred dollars to get it flushed out. That was not the problem. So we called him back, told me it was still doing the same thing and he said he didn't know what else to do, but he had found another transmission in Dallas and it was going to be $1100, but he didn't have the money to pay for it that we needed to help out.Even though it was under warranty. So we only gave him three hundred dollars more. And left our car there for another week.I left it with a full tank of gas and set my odometer reader. When I went back to get my car , I had to sit there and wait for him to get back to the shop in my car. He had somebody else with him riding.And when they got out , they had lunch with them. He said the car was fixed. So we got in the car and there was trash all in my car.There was only one quarter of a tank of gas , and they had spilt stuff , all in my seats. I started taking it home and it was doing the same thing as before. Set my husband said that we would just not deal with him anymore.Just leave it , it is what it is. So I would not , and I repeat not recommend this man for anything!!!! I can't believe he had the nerve to run all my gas out and spill stuff in my car and leave trash water bottles, potato chip bags, everything in my car.Like he's been using it for his own personal use all week and didn't even put the other transmission in. We paid him over thirty five hundred dollars plus I had to pay for my rent , a car for 5 weeks, and that was not cheap. So he got all this money and didn't fix the problem. We decided to just drive it the way it is.And when it breaks , it breaks completely. That we were not gonna take it anywhere else and spend any more money on this car.Because it's a two thousand seventeen , and it has over two hundred thousand miles on it. It'\nS been a very good car up until the transmission. So I would say the services requested was not done and we paid more even though it was under warranty.That warranty doesn't mean anything to him. Please , please please do not take your vehicle to this man!!!
