I have been to a few parties and several tournament and weekly evening games too. They offer some lessons on Monday and through the week. The membership is pretty reasonable. They do offer a full bar that you can put on your tab, that must be paid off to the club regularly. This place feels like family, many members have been here for decades. There are often card games in the club house after the weekly games. They have regular tournaments too. Some of these members will kick your butt and could play for hours. I have only managed to play a set or two. There is a small courtyard right when you walk through the main entrance. There is also private parking that is fenced in nearby for members. There is a patio to watch the courts. There are 3 old school well maintained clay courts.

Gym, locker room, lobby, everything is clean and well stocked. It has the best old school vibe. My dad used to take me to east side tennis clubs in the 70's and it kind of has that feel, but with more updated equipment of course. Staff is cool and laid back. Place has a nice chill environment to it. I highly suggest it. In a time where gyms are basically like Walmart's lined with mirrors and a bunch of equipment dropped in the middle, places like this are a dying breed and need to be supported.

With not much to do this winter because of covid, this still feels safe because they limit the number of people. They charge $8 per person for drop in play. We usually do have to set up our own nets and put down tape to mark off the courts, that would be one of the glitches I'm talking about but as a pickleball addict I am willing to do it along with the others.

The gym is excellent for me. They have a wide variety of equipment, which is plus for me. There is a good amount of free weights, dumbbells, and kettle bells. The Sports Club has a some cable equipment, and a QueenEx (like a jungle gym) which has TRX-type equipment. They have a number of machines. There is not a lot of open space in the gm, but there is enough room for normal workout. At a couple of times the gym can be packed, but normally there is plenty of space. And, there are times the gym is completely empty. There is a cardio section on a different level from the gym, which has treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, etc...They also have a short track around the gym area, which people walk. The classes are very good. Most people could get by taking the classes (which are included) in place of a personal trainer (they have those, as well). My Favorite thing - Towell service. I need a towel when I workout, and I cannot express how much I love that The Sports Club has them available. They do a pretty good job keeping the facility clean. The staff is generally friendly and accommodating. The only real downside for me is the building needs some upkeep, and the parking is a disaster - think grocery store. The club is on the expensive side for running on a treadmill, but it is well priced if you make use of all the club offers.

There are 2 pools. First one is a kiddie and honestly, I wish they had a splash pad in it's place. It is very shallow and just kind of boring. The other is a 6 lane pool with a dive tank - and my kids think it is amazing. They have a swim team and lessons. We are just going to play in the pool this summer, then try for the team in the future. The "clubhouse" is small, there are not lockers. Bathrooms are clean and seemingly just got upgraded. There are grills about to make food, and they have a small snack station. I guess there was hot food previously, but they are investigating whether it makes sense to reopen? Not sure, I'm new. Currently there is pop, water, chips and ice cream. So basically every kid food group. I am super excited for this summer, it is already fun!

All the usuals get there and spend the first 10 min of a shortened timeframe dragging the nets and setting it up. They don't provide balls like they do for tennis! Nope they just grab your money and treat all the pickle ballers like they are not as good as their tennis elitist. Have everything set up and pretend to Like you. Worth the drive in my opinion. Peachtree could use a customer service coach on staff. Don't even get me started on renting a court from them.
