I purchased a home nearly 5 years ago with a pool. The pool had always been serviced by Professional Pools. They have records of everything done to my pool. However, I prefer to maintain things myself and Professional Pools gave me the confidence to care for the pool. They came out and gave me lessons on pool care. They do not follow through with their promises or quotes, always have excuses for not showing up, blame the pool owner rather than take ownership for a mistake. We've even been accused of tampering with the pool floats, which is why they rarely work. The owner, Dean, and his son, Alex, NEVER reply to call or texts or emails. Rather, they make an employee relay a message. I could go on and on. Too much to include in this review. This should negative stars. read more

Purchased a hot tub 5 years ago, Our control panel went out. Service department tried to tell us it was an electrical problem, but we knew we had power as the power and lower jets still worked. Finally, got the part ordered and was told 2 weeks and they would call us. The day after 2 weeks were up and no word from them, so my husband called. No part yet no date on our ticket so the manager said he didn't know anything. After a very unpleasant call manager said our part would be in in a few days and would call us. We had to call them again to find out part was in. Originally, we had planned to have them install. My husband didn't want anything more to do with them and after calling them went in to get the part himself, was told we were going to Fed-x the part. We wanted to get it now not another couple of days. Very disappointed as their web site says... they provide service, sure didn't for us. read more

I went in on a Saturday and the sales manager wrote a price on their sales brochure for the cost of a hot tub. He recommended we go on their website and get approved by their recommended lender for that amount then come back in on Monday and pay that amount. When I got there Monday to write the check the owners would not honor the amount the sales manager quoted me. I had to contact the lender and cancel my loan. I am just glad that I found that out that they can't be trusted before I got into a contract with them. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. My husband called in the fall to get on their list for a liner replacement for this spring. We were put on the list and told we were going to get a phone call in March. Sometime the middle of March, my husband called since we hadn't heard from them. Immediately, someone came out to look at our pool. We received a quote on April 1st and were told that liners were about a week out after ordering. We were fine with the quote and were told that someone would come measure the pool in the next week and to drain it so it's ready. Awesome! But that week came and went. No call, no show. My husband called the following week to see why no one came. He said they would be here that next Friday or Monday. No call, no show. My husband contacted him again and basically asked if we were being blown off. He apologized and again said that they would be here soon. I have also called the main office requesting an update. People have taken my name and number, and no one returns my calls. All the excuses are blurring together at this point, so I can't remember what we were told when... the guy was on vacation, it rained, they were busy, some more weather, they are short help, etc... but we have called/texted numerous times with no phone calls returned. I understand that the times are tough for many businesses right now, but that is no excuse for poor communication and just not showing up when you tell your customer you will be there on a certain day. Finally today (May 19th), my husband called again to talk to the owner and see what is going on. This is over a month and a half from our quote and being told they would be here to measure. Long story short, the owner said that they are too busy and just can't get to us. For a month and a half we have been thinking they would be getting us our pool liner. We have called many other businesses, who are all booked already, so now we are unable to get a pool liner for summer. Our pool liner is completely unusable at this point due to hail damage after draining it to prepare it for measurement they never came to do. My husband asked why they didn't inform us that they were too busy a month and a half ago, but the owner did not apologize and hung up on my husband. fuck these bitches i called them 3 times for them to come out to give us an estimate and all 3 times no one came. the first time they told me to wait a week for a call back and no call. so i call two separate times to set something up and both times no one shows after waiting all day because they don't even give you a time frame in which they will come..it's like they think they are too good for anyone so they obvi don't need business so my recommendation is to not even attempt to contact them. it will only waste your time read more

We've been trying to get our spa fixed since May (currently the middle of September). I called Pro Pools and Spas after finding them in the yellow pages. We've had them out a few times now--the service guys are very personable and professional--but we've had some frustrations GETTING them out. Scheduling for customers outside of the Sioux City metro area does not seem to be much of a priority... The quality of the work has been fine, but the customer service is lacking. Bottom line: if you can get someone else to work on your spa, you'd probably be better off. read more
