The firm prepared my tax return for business and personal both state and federal. I would not…read morerecommend or use them again - for several reasons... (1) The firms customer communication was poor throughout the return review and preparation process. My return is straight foward I do not have complex assets or other factors to figure out (could almost use a free software) plus I organize my own receipts, catalog all expenses and uploaded them digitally to their portal. While this should make it easy for them they still managed to justify a multi $k bill to process my return. (2) During the preparation process there was little consultation on key recommendations , such as simple vs complex deductions, paying fees without owing taxes, and was given little time to review final returns as they were prepared only days before filing was due with government then told they were closing office early when I had a question. (3) When I called to provide my feedback to the owner on my new customer experience I was told I was costing them money and that they would hold my filing to ransom for their service payment. Not the typical 15 or 30 day invoice that almost all other professional service firms follow. (4) Beyond an initial free consultation which was generally high level - they had no real recommendations to lower my taxes and with recent tax law changes seemed to be in the dark as to their impact in future years. I would expect a professional tax firm to be more up to speed.

We are extremely happy with the services CPAMD provided. They were very knowledgable with the new…read moretax laws! Bryan took the time to come out to visit us and better understand our business and it's goals. The team provided us recommendations based on current tax laws and guidelines that helped us make decisions and be proactive, instead of reactive. We look forward to working with them again this year.

This firm is very professional and spends time helping and explaining everything to you so you feel…read moreinformed. I had a previous accountant that just threw everything together and never went over anything with me to make sure it was accurate. Scott Storz is who I deal with here at FPHC and he is great! I feel confident that things are correct when I use them. Highly recommend.

I chose to use FPHC because a friend raved about them. I knew that my finances in 2025 would be…read morevery different from previous years, and I wanted to make sure that I was planning in advance and that, once tax season rolled around, my return would be prepared accurately. I started working with them over the summer. At that time, I wanted to make sure that I was paying estimated taxes correctly. Soon after my first meeting, I had an unexpected need to liquidate investments that left me with large capital gains. I received advice about adjusting estimated tax payments to reflect this, which I followed. Early this year, they handled my federal and state tax returns. To say there were mistakes would be an understatement. I ended up having to use one of the online tax prep programs, print out that information, and bring it in so that my return could be completed correctly. None of the information that I had provided over the summer was taken into account - I'm pretty sure that, despite conversations with them and a rather unique name, they have two separate files for me and think that I am two different people. Then I got a letter from the state informing me that they were penalizing me for incorrectly paying estimated taxes. Since my income was not consistent, due to the large capital gains received over the summer, they should have completed a specific form. This form had not been completed. I contacted the office and was told that it was MY responsibility to complete this form - it was not something that they would do for me. You would think that, given the fact that I had to provide them with a completed draft return and they failed to file the correct forms, there would be some sort of concession on fees. Not so - between what I paid over the summer and what I have been billed for the spring, they are getting over $1000. I suppose I should consider this a bargain - if I hadn't done all of the work myself, I would have lost over $3000 in refunds! Needless to say, they will not be preparing my returns in the future.
