Had a L3 Homebuyers survey conducted by ProEnergis at the end of last year. ProEnergis told me that the electrical meter box was in an inside cupboard, when it was actually located in a different building(!). This mistake cost us £2.6k in meter relocation fees. ProEnergis admitted their mistake after our complaint, but did nothing to rectify the situation as they claimed it should have been picked up by other parties as well. Why bother paying a surveyor to do the job then?!
Lazy, objectively inaccurate reporting from a surveyor who just passes the buck instead of making things right. Avoid at all costs.
(On an important note, ProEnergis use CEDR instead of an ombudsman in their complaints process. CEDR's Google reviews suggest they're not impartial at all, and ProEnergis charges you £500 to raise a complaint if CEDR find no wrongdoing.) read more
