I wasn't just another caller, however, it felt more personable and I could truly sense that the owner wasn't just running a business but taking pride in providing a service of value with a core focus on customer satisfaction. For my consultation, the contractor arrived early and was very pleasant. We executed the walk thru together and discussed every detail. I had questions and he happily had answers. As we discussed the process, he was able to almost sense my questions and provide specifics to a degree that I didn't have any follow up questions. As far as colors, their color insight based on the natural lighting of the home as well as the general design really helped me when it came to color concepts and making my final decision. I decided to go with Prolific Painting as the service and consultation really made me feel valued as a customer. Also, the pricing was not only fair but made sense and didn't come with a bunch of hidden fees. It was straightforward and to the point. My project was slated to take 3 days and was completed in 2.5 Days. One Word... AWESOME!!!!! The work was Stellar. The end result was even prettier than I had even imagined. I paid $45,000 for Mark Carlisle Home Improvement to install a Trex boardwalk and dock on my…read moreproperty with a 5 year warranty for workmanship. I have had the deck for about 2 years now and am having a lot of trouble with it. At first my outdoor lighting that was on the boardwalk and dock started giving me problems. I had my lighting guys come out and they said all the outdoor, all-weather grade fasteners and fittings that they had put on were no longer on and causing all my problems. It turns out Mark Carlisle's crew who took the lights off to install the new boardwalk and dock threw those good fasteners and fittings away on the ground and replaced with cheap indoor fittings after I specifically told them to keep them and use them to put the lighting back on. That is the smaller problem. The big problem is that I was told the Trex fasteners were not available so they used screws to fasteners the Trex and now I am ha ing problems with warping and keeping the Trex secured. This is a tripping hazard and creates an unsafe condition. When i brought this to Mark's attention, at first he said he would replace the Trex and have the lights fixed back to original and now he is not doing that when we have a written 5 year warranty on the work. It is very disappointing and will probably have to go to court. Very unprofessional work done by the crew and a total disregard for the warranty that he guaranteed. I recommend not using this contractor for any home project as the crew did a terrible job and the person is completely dishonest. Avoid yourself the headache.

I read through some of the negative comments on Google as well as here, and feel as if there is a…read morepattern. I too contacted Valen Concrete Coatings about the bubble that was visible from the work done on my garage floor. The Valen employee came out and said he would actually have to sand it down completely and lay a new coat down, but I will not be able to tell the difference. However, when I checked on the work the Valen employee stated he was going to try something different. After seeing his finished work the Valen employee agreed it would be best to have the area sanded down and a new coat applied to the area that will not include the entire floor. The Valen employee also stated the work he performed will need to dry, and I would need to call Valen Concrete Coating to have an employee come back out. That never happened. I never get my calls returned from Valen. I have no appointment scheduled with Valen. This is their work (eerily similar to previous complaints). I blame myself for this. Luckily my wife is an attorney, and what may be posted as not covered under warranty is not true in this case and a couple of posted complaints I have read. Valen Concrete Coating seem to know which complaints to ignore and which complaints they can apply the not covered under warranty rule to. My post should serve as a consumer alert. I will update this review and those on any other platform after the legal process and the outcome, which does take a while. In the meantime ask Valen Concrete Coating to address some of the complaints (pick one or two). Inform the Valen Concrete Coating you want to know how they would respond if the same happened to you. Note: Record all conversations. I did! Every single one!

The painting was well done, the paint they used was high quality, they protected my wood floors, kept the whole house clean while they worked and were very enjoyable to be around. They arrived every morning on-time and ready to work. The owner is enjoyable to interact with, cares about the job and getting it done on-time for the right budget. The price they gave me was very fair and less than most and they didn't try to increase anything even though a few additional things were needed. I signed a contract with John Canning to replace the roof and some windows. They replaced the…read morefacia and later the roof sub contractor replaced the roof and in the process damaged the new facia. Then the siding sub contractor replaced the facia again. They then began to have problems with other sub contractors and the job went on for several months. I found inconsistent numbers in their billing. I asked John why the totals were more than the addends and his reply was they do that to cover any mistake their estimator makes. The 3 carbon monoxide roof vents were damaged and on the contract to replace. They were only painted to look new and not replaced. I asked Ed Rollins why they were not replaced and he replied, we made a mistake and used that $350 on the gutter guards. PGRS started the job in April and didn't complete it until October.
