I find Forsyths music shop totally magical. It makes me feel like it's the 70s or something…read more Spread out over three expansive floors, this place is faded and full of character but well set out and full of helpful staff. Downstairs, there are shelves and shelves of sheet music for every kind of instrument you can imagine. It really is huge this place. If they don't have what you want, then one of the kind staff members will be able to see if they can get in what you need. On the first floor is where the grand pianos live. Again, there are absolutely loads of them, ranging from uprights to baby grand and full on grand pianos. When I went in there was a piano tuner over in the far corner doing his thing. It just added to the magic of the place for me. For any guitarists, upstairs on the second floor is the place to go. There are masses of acoustic guitars here, as well as a great range of electrics as well. Honestly, there is more of a selection than in Johnny Roadhouse and it competes with Music Ground as well. Like every floor of Forsyths, there are dedicated staff members on each floor ready to assist you. I really do like Forsyths. Its size is incredible and stock unrivalled in Manchester.

No neither do I but people who go into forsyth probably do. This big old music store is a giant of all things that make melodies. According to a musical friend you can track down whatever sheet music you may need...... ever in here; for a simpleton like me I just look around taking it all in, they've got lots of pretty pianos and shiny trumpets. So as far I'm concerned it's good.

Cash Generator's Oldham location is probably one of their worst locations I've visited, and trust…read moreme to be one of the worst Cash Generator stores you must be pretty woeful. This store is located on the hill past Santander and the cinema, in a rather "rough" part of town which hasn't seen the benefits of the modernisation and improvement in the main town centre, it is across the way from rival Cash Converters, which is also quite poor. As I've found with most Cash Generator stores, the feel is pretty old and tatty. I was also shocked to hear that they refused to give me an offer on trading in my phone because it was previously on contract, I have never had this issue before at any store from Mazuma Mobile to the phone providers own recycle programmes, even from other Cash Generator stores. The phone is mine, I paid for it, it is unlocked so the policy just makes no sense at all. The staff also seemed pretty rude and uncooperative. The prices are given for trading in other items seem to be a fraction of rivals again, making this more of a payday loan store than one you can actually get a good price for. A poor branch of Cash Generator and possibly last chance saloon of me visiting one of the chain's locations again, and is surely deserving just a one-star rating, and it sadly seems not much has changed since this place was last reviewed which was over 10 years ago back on Qype.

I suppose the only good thing you can say about this shop is you can get rid of your unwanted stuff…read more(Well some of it) and they will give you cash for it (But don't expect too much) The Shop is located on Yorkshire street Oldham, opposite the natwest bank and Taxi Ranks. About a 5 min walk from the Bus station and tommyfield Market. The shop is only small and quite dark when you go inside and there is not much room inside as the middle of the shop is taken up displaying over priced sencond hand TV's and Electrical goods. They have a selction of PC and consol games and DVD's all second hand and quite over priced when you consider some of the cheaper shops around in oldham. You don't get much guarantee with things and you would probably be better off having a good look around before you went in here to buy anything.
