Do NOT be the next sucker to walk into this dirty cave, what a waste of time. Nightmare…read more I recently noticed some advertising for this place, and they advertised .99 cent hardwood flooring, cabinets or furniture. Well here what I found on my visit. There is no $.99 wood, unless you want to do a closet, it's junk that they didn't want to throw away. Basicly they operated a bait and switch operation. The smarmy, car salesmen like owner approached or lets say propositioned me on a deal for some trashy battleship gray flooring that he discounted; it was a CASH ONLY DEAL, NO SALES TAX involved. I wanted to pay with my debit but it wasn't good enough. I don't know how you can operate a business and not collect sales tax? This doesn't really seem right. It seems everyday is TAX FREE WEEKEND at Mid Atlantic if you pay in cash. If you don't believe me, and you care, drop by and let them know you want the cash deal. It says on their company marque that they offer granite counter tops, they don't. They do have some bathroom granite stuff, prices vary and it depends on who you talk to and how you are paying as to what the prices are. This place was dirty, cold, and unsafe, especially if you have kids. Items were stacked too high to be safe, sharp items around, things ready to tip over on you because they were not fastened properly or attached to a wall The restrooms are FILTHY, going outside would be the only option. The owner chain smokes cigarettes on the showroom floor. Who smokes in public places anymore? It says right on the front door "no smoking". It was like going into a lame club or restaurant where there is that one person smoking and it trails right in front of your face. There was a child nearby complaining about the smoke, and the owner didn't acknowledge it. Im not sure about the furniture in this place, you may just want to try Tango in the other parking lot. As soon as I thought that I made it from this place unscathed, I found a large nail in my tire from the gravel parking lot. sUpEr LaMe! Needless to say, with these unscrupulous business practices, I just couldn't see myself shopping at this establishment which is sure to end soon. This place needs to be investigated.

While I hate to agree with Tom J, I'm afraid his review is apt. I have patronized Mid Atlantic in…read morethe past and have found the staff to be quite friendly and knowledgeable. However, on my most recent visit, it seems that his loyal staff has moved on to greener pastures. When I asked the proprietor where everyone was, his brusque response, after a long draw from his cigarette, was " I fired their asses". I found this quite disconcerting. While the owner puffed away, I wandered the showroom, which was quite sparse, to say the least. During my visit, the owner constantly swore, in fact, saying goddamn several times within ear shot of customers and their children. I'm not particularly religious, however, I find this to be most disrespectful. I found all flooring lots to be under 500 sqft, at best, and overall knowledge of the inventory to be non-existent. When I found a product I was interested in, the owner offered a CASH discount nearly 50% off the marked price. When I mentioned I only had a credit card or check, I was promptly directed to a nearby ATM machine. I found all this to be more than a bit shady, so I decided to forgo this 'Cash Deal' for a more respectable establishment. I also agree that this place ought to be investigated. Steer Clear. This place is going down. I can feel it.

However, there is one caveat (there always is) and it was the wait time or lag before the electrician arrived. The demo, construction and painting was all performed within 3 days. That left us with a 10 day wait before the electrician did his thing and the CO issued. One tip if anyone decides to use this sunroom company....lock in a firm date with their electrician. Apparently he isn't one of their staff and has his own business. However his 35 years experience made the 10 day span more palatable and his workmanship and customer focus admirable.

Product-wise, we were not told, during the sales pitch, that the EZ breeze poly-vinyl would not provide a clear view; I knew vinyl would not be as crystal clear as glass, but the disparity is much more substantial than we could have imagined. I would describe it as a wavy distortion. This is the case with the panels with screens behind them and those without screens (upper transom). Secondly, the sliding panels, which are advertised on their website as 'fingertip easy' to slide, have not been our experience in the least. A lot of exertion needs to be applied to get the panels to the juncture to lock them up. That over exertion will not bode well for the product's longevity and our aging muscles. If we were told that both situations were 'the norm', we would never have purchased the large panels. We would have considered going with the smaller vertically sliding panels or with glass. The customer service complaint is twofold - 1) the lack of transparency about the vinyl in the sales phase. At that time, I had emphasized to the saleswoman that the clearest view was our top priority. 2) The warranty gentleman was quick in getting back to us when I first reached out about our concern. After his visit, he said that there was no issue with the vinyl, and that he "could not go to bat for us" with the manufacturer. Subsequently, it took days to hear back from him about the sliding panel issue. Finally, we were told once again, that's the norm with the larger panels; he also did not offer to send a technician out to see if there was any adjustment that could be made to make the panels slide as advertised. That did not seem like an unrealistic ask after doling out a nice chunk of cash for the system. The sad irony, about Porch Conversion's warranty service, is that this was the deciding factor for us to choose them over another company, who had received frequent bad reviews about their ineffective warranty service.
