Came here debating on upgrading my Equinox membership to include the Destination Locations with…read morePacific Palisades really being the Prized Location among the others like the Sports Club or Century City. First the negatives: The Parking isn't terrible but it will slow you down and take up your "time limit" of 2.5 hrs, You have to drive slooooow. The spaces are all compact, I drive a Model Y and it was tight in the curves to go between floors and the parking spaces. There is only one elevator but I believe you can access the parking levels by taking the stairs or entering from different floors. The water pressure is very weak in the water fountains and the showers. I saw some complaints about accessing different rooms but it wasn't bad at all it's like 20 feet and if it's raining you shouldn't really notice if you're already wet from sweat. If you are afraid of water then not sure what to tell you, you may want to spend your membership money on help with that. Equinox is notorious for stairs and although there are no stairs to go UP to the locker rooms like other locations there are stairs that go up to go inside the gym. Once inside the stairs either go down into the locker rooms or up between levels. You're at the gym, the stairs shouldn't be an issue for you, embrace the stairs, enjoy the stairs. Lastly it's a new gym and 2 of the cold plunges weren't working and the parking validation didn't work but was easily able to press a button, speak and view a live person on the screen and be granted access to leave. The positives: The Views are amazing, ease of access to be in or out of the gym if you wanted to take a walk in between sets to get some Sun. The equipment is all new and the gym is spotless. The crew were everywhere cleaning and making sure everything was stocked and on working order. The bathrooms were very nice but had limited stalls which wasn't a problem for me but could be an issue at some point. The showers, steam room and co-ed Sauna were dope. My conclusion, I'm upgrading my Membership and enjoying this location and all others. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it.

I recently made my way out to the newest Equinox location in Southern California because on their…read morewebsite it said this location opened on 12/20/24. Unfortunately, that was not the case as the front desk staff said they ran into some code issues that they were still working out with the city. However, they were nice enough to let me tour the club and here are my impressions. First off, being that will be a brand new club this would take over as the nicest Equinox location in Southern California. The club is spread out over 3 floors. You enter on the 2nd floor with direct access from the parking garage. More on that later. The aesthetics are very much in line with the current Equinox club aesthetic, albeit with brighter wood tones to emphasize its location right across from the beach and the Pacific Ocean. The 2nd floor has offices and the juice bar. Down the stairs to the first level is where the Men's and Women's locker rooms are as well as the new Recovery Area with a very large co-ed sauna and ice baths. It'll be interesting to see how this location handles the co-ed area. Up stairs to the 3rd floor and you see the requisite cardio area, free weights, one squat rack and machines. The cycling studio is on the side. Upon first glance, the layout of the weights floor felt like it was going to be a problem. It was very small and for a new gym to only have one set of free weights and one squat rack, that's going to be an issue, but upon further discovery there's a whole other section that you can access by going out onto the terrace covered in astroturf set up for weights and sled work and an outdoor stretching area around the corner. There was a larger room that had another cardio area, this time with numerous Woodway Treadmills as well as new weights, another rack of free weights, barbells, dumbbells, squat racks, Smith Machines, etc... The private pilates studio and group fitness studio are also located on this side. That said, I understand they were working with existing space, but it does feel odd to have separate rooms that you would have to access through exterior corridors rather than one unified space. I'm interested to see how this layout will handle weather and volume as there's no access to the locker facilities from the larger weights room. Parking is available underground with the entrance behind the building, but be careful as the ramp up and down were very narrow with numerous scrapes on the ramp walls. Parking for Equinox on the upper parking floors so that's nice, but the spaces are tight. Overall, I believe this is still considered a select location, but depending on how it does it might get bumped up to a SoCal All Access tier, but only time will tell.

The Hollywood location has been my home gym for years now but discovered the Santa Monica location…read morewhen I started a new job almost 2 years ago now and it's great! This location is larger than the others so it's really spacious. At the SM location I've trained with Martine, Conrad, and Sean and, as usual, all are well trained, know their shit, pay attention, and are fantastic trainers! They keep you motivated. And it's great taking classes from different trainers because each one will give you a little tip that will land different for everyone. So something small, a slight adjustment, might change the way you do a lift for the better. Another reason I love this place. It's not cheap but it's worth it and so are you! No better $ spent than on your health!

Clean facilities and everybody gets their own squat rack for an hour. Time is our most precious non renewable resource in our hectic lives. To get in a full body workout without waiting to share equipment and not spend any mental energy and time programming my workouts makes this membership a great value. 2. It's not HIIT, it's pure strength training using barbells and dumbbells. With 2-3 minutes of rest in between sets. 3. The classes are small and maybe 10 people at the most. It is more of a semi private training experience - all the attention and individualized focus of a top trainer with the social benefits of being part of a positive community. 4. Fast Results. Pure and simple. I've done it all: F45, Barry's, Orangetheory, Indoor Cycling, Hot yoga, kickboxing, etc. I am the strongest, leanest I've ever been and because my metabolism has skyrocketed by adding muscle mass, it's so freeing not to watch calories anymore.

Over time, I became more curious as to what she did and one day I reached out for a consultation. When I reached out, I had been managing through many personal things for quite a while. So the idea of "healing" was a bit foreign to me. My mindset had been - just gut it out; just work through it. But I was beyond exhausted. While I had "managed" things on my terms and thought I had done a good job with it all, I was surviving; I was not not thriving. The techniques Monica used helped me quite a bit. The frameworks she shared helped me think about things in new ways. These new tools have helped me tremendously in managing some of life's traumas and dramas! Thank you, Monica!

She makes facing your demons a much less scary process with how supportive she truly is. I really wanted to jump in and change my entire life, and she is helping me more than anyone ever has. Doing therapy, journaling, and shadow work for years...fully prepared me to work with Monica. The work she has had me do and the space she has held for me has helped me process YEARS of childhood trauma in about 4 months and my entire life and the way I carry myself has completely shifted. I could deeply relate to her stories of codependency and narcissistic abuse. If you have been through similar issues, she is the perfect person to talk to. I did need a lot more rest and recovery time while working through these emotions...BUT!! People are complimenting me on my energy, telling me I have a strong aura and that they can feel it, telling me how much they like my personality, for the first time maybe ever...after 4 months of working with Monica. Not only is she a beautiful princess, but her castle is a safe, holy, and grounded space to process emotions. She is not a talk therapist though. She will SAFELY take you straight to the root of the issues instead of the surface level I feel that talk therapy usually touches on. I started as a cynical, pessimistic person who did not truly believe I was allowed to feel happiness just because there is a lot of suffering in the world...to, essentially, the best version of myself. I am getting there with HER, after spending years in therapy. The way I attract people into my life now is completely different and people approach me now as if I am a happy dog that they would like to pet haha. NOW, I am trying to learn how to set boundaries with people because of how many people I am attracting into my life. She is highly intuitive and can see angels around you, assisting you with the inner work. She assigns homework relevant to your journey and checks on you a few times a week via text. She is very passionate about her work and a very gifted human being. I wish I had started my journey with her sooner.
