    I apply for energy assistance with Mid-Nebraska Community Action. They conduct additional check on…read moremy house and decided that they would send Beman's at to check my furnace wiring. Later that week I got a call from being and saying they wanted to make and appointment with me to check my furnace wiring. When the technician got to my house after being late 15 minutes he then came in and turned on my heater. It was 90 degrees out and I had the air conditioner on and it was 78 in my house when he arrived. He was a young kid and I asked him what he was doing. Informed me he was to do a heat rise test on my furnace. I asked him what that entailed and he said he had to check the heater to see if it was working properly and I said hold this seem like a dumb day to do it because it was 90 degrees out. He agreed that it was a stupid day to do it but was told to do it because Mid-Nebraska was in a hurry for their paperwork to be done. He went to the basement, he had the heater on in my house and after abt. 15 or so minutes of being in the basement the house has risen to 93 or 96 I don't remember now all I know is it was getting unpleasant. I went to the top of the basement stairs because I cannot go down the stairs due to a disability. I hollered down at him and asked him if he was about done. I didn't hear anything so I yelled again and finally he answered in a mumble. So I yelled again and explained that it was getting very uncomfortable upstairs. The person that I sent down there with him yell back and said he said go ahead and shut it off. So I said okay and I proceeded to shut it off and turn on the air conditioner. In a few minutes the technician returned to the upstairs and check the thermostat, I asked him what he found out. He said he wasn't sure what was going on with that he would have to send somebody else to check the wiring. I said, please don't send anybody else unless it's cooler out because I don't want to go through this heat situation again while it's hot. He said he would let them know and proceeded to leave. I then call Beman's office to explain to them that I didn't want want anybody else coming out when it was in the 90s to check the heater if they had to run it she said okay and hung up. In about a week I heard back from Mid-Nebraska who said that they weren't going to come out and help me weatherize my house because they got a call from Beman's that said I was rude and abusive to both the service man and the office person. I attempted to call the office at beman's several times I spoke to the person answering the phone who would never let me speak to this person I talked to originally saying that she was out of town she was on her days off or she was in a meeting. I also left a message. Or the owner on his machine explaining the situation and ask him to call me when he never did. I also apologized and explained the situation to the girl that had to keep answering the phone. I also explained to her that I was unable to get weatherization because of the situation. Well I have never got weatherization and it's winter time and if there was anything wrong with my heater I guess nobody would ever know thanks to Beman's!

    Horrible experience. Tried to bill us for an appliance that didn't need a repair. When we asked…read moreabout the bill the owner was unbelievably RUDE. Avoid at all cost.
