It was a pleasure visiting their store and getting honest advice on flooring options, availability, and cost. Everyone was helpful and knowledgable. They communicated with us as we waited for our order to arrive. Their installation crew was excellent and left the room spotless before they left. The floor looks magnificent. We would highly recommend NDHW if you need new carpeting or flooring and want to work with a local company that understands what superior service means!!

We had over 2000 square feet of white oak flooring installed in our entire house. Although there…read morewere many problems from the beginning, we understand that flooring is a living thing, and we accepted the issues. We would never use this business again! The finish in the kitchen and part of the dining has unacceptable issues. This has been a problem since day one. There is dark staining coming through the wood on the seams. The finish is uneven and the floor stains when anything touches it. It just seems like the floor has no protection at all. The rest of the house does not have this issue. We have sent Mike pictures, asked him to come... which he has done... but 2.5 years later he has done nothing to resolve the problem. We have called and called. In our last conversation, we told him his behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional 2.5 years was too long to wait! He told me "We are too far out of the way and inconvenient...that I would just have to wait a little longer. Funny, he didn't feel that when he took the job. Sadly, he has mistaken our kindness and patience for weakness. Therefore, we are left with little choice but to let future customers know that this business DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK and begin a social media campaign to get this word out. I would NEVER use this business and absolutely do not recommend them. We purchased carpeting from Fosters Flooring in Staatsburg. They were much better, responsive, and professional. I would highly recommend them.

He installed our costly wood flooring on our whole first floor straight onto a cement base without the proper membrane (this will cause rot and mold) ! He left us with a huge pile of construction garbage that he was supposed to remove as per the contract. Over the past couple years we have repeatedly tried to get him to fix and complete the job or return our money he stole - to no avail. When things did go long or cost more money he was completely transparent, and took responsibility when it had to anything to do with him. All that work took under 6 months, and with all of the supply chain issues, it was remarkable. I now have the home of my dreams. I cannot give a bigger recommendation. You are lucky if you get to work with Maynor and his team. Good luck!!!

After reaching out via phone, he was super responsive and said he could squeeze in some odd job work on a Saturday. He asked me to confirm with him Friday. I did. Pete was a no show at our 9am arrival time; all good, things happen and contractors always have a little grace period. 9:30, nothing. I'd planned my day around letting him in/confirming scope of work, so I called. He said no problem, he was on his way, he'd be there in 20 minutes. I said great, I'm running out for one errand and I'll leave the door open for you. We'd already discussed what he could start on. He never showed. I texted. He never responded. I followed up via phone call. No response; mailbox full. I know contractors are a hot commodity these days, but woof this was a crappy experience. If you can't show, don't say you're on your way then leave your client in a lurch.
