My car has been making a funny noise for quite some time now. It got to the point where it was running the battery down, so I never knew when my car would even start. Everyone that I took it to told me a different reason what was wrong with it. They all told me it would cost several hundred dollars to fix it. I needed my window regulator and A/C worked on. I brought my car by one afternoon for a quote. It took maybe 15 min. they couldn't work on it till the next day. When I stated I would have to get a rent a car because this was my only transportation I was told don't do that I will lone you my car by the owner I believe his personal car!!!! I dropped my car off at 8am and it was finished by 1:30pm and they also washed and vacuumed it free of charge. Plus the best part for me being a woman they showed me each of the broken parts so I know they were fixed right. I will defiantly be taking my car here again. read more

This place is fantastic. My car was not shifting right, I barely made it to his shop before it stopped shifting at all. The owner said he was closing for the weekend (it was a holiday weekend) and that I should bring it back first thing Monday, but when the car wouldn't budge, he offered to move it inside the shop for safe keeping over the weekend. On Monday it was fixed first thing, for a fair price. I'll definitely return for repairs in the future. read more

These guys are kind of blunt but also very honest. Don't expect them to try and up sell you on a slightly dirty cabin air filter like the other guys! I play in a band traveling all the way across the country and we were shocked when our van wouldn't start last night after the show. We had it towed to a chain shop this morning and three mechanics after an hour couldn't tell us what was wrong, only that or battery was reading that it was bad. They charged us $175 to replace the battery and the problem was not solved. Had it towed here and after 15 minutes they found a short and got the van started and running. They then asked what the other shop charged us for the battery and told us that they only wanted half of what they originally told us our repair would cost. I moved to Oklahoma City from out of state and noticed that my 04 suburban was making some weird noises. A friend at work recommended I take it to Herman. As I was pulling in and gettiong out of the car I heard Herman say to Bill, "You hear those U-Joints?" After a quick check under the car Bill confirmed that both the front and rear universal joints were bad. They asked if I could come back the next day and drop the car off. Herman gave me a ride to work and called me later in the morning to ask when I'd had the brakes checked last. I told him I wasn't sure. The cost of the U-joint replacement and brake job was less than I would have spent on a single service in Houston and it was done by 2 pm and ready to go. Herman is the best and both he and the guys in the shop know their cars backwards and forwards. I've been back for a few other services because my car has 160,000 miles on it, but each time they've been fast, fair and very very kind to me. I won't take my car anywhere else. read more

This place is a great example of 'don't judge a book by its cover.' From the outside it looks like a questionable place to take your car for repairs but I am so glad that I decided to go here after reading Carly's review and since it was fairly close to my house. I called Pro Express around 3 pm and told them that I thought something was wrong with my power steering. Herman, the owner, told me I could bring it in at 8 am the next morning. I arrived at 7:50 am and was getting worried around 7:57 am that no one was going to show up at (because I'm a jerk) but he pulled up right at 8:00 am. He asked that I stay for a minute so he could look under the hood quickly before I left. He then decided that he didn't think it would be a simple fix so we told me he would call me later on in the day. He got back with me just a couple hours later and told me that the power steering pump was out and that it would cost $521. I told him to fix it but he called me back an hour later and told me that no one in the state had the pump I needed and he had to order the part but that it would arrive (hopefully) the following day (Friday) or Monday. He ended up calling me mid-morning Friday to let me know that my car was ready to be picked up and that he was going to charge me around $480 instead. This man was seriously the sweetest human I have had the pleasure of being in the presence of in a long time. I was concerned that I wasn't going to be able to get to my car by 5 pm so I called him and his response was "sweetheart, you don't have to worry about a thing. I will wait for you to get here." I arrived, paid, got in my car and drove off and my car has been running perfectly ever since. I would absolutely recommend Herman to anyone and will most definitely be returning to him for all future repairs. read more

Pro Express is a hidden gem. My car was in need of minor repairs, and based on Yelp reviews and the fact they are 3 blocks from me, I chose to go to Pro Express. I dealt with Richard and he took good care of my car. These days it seems even minor repairs cost an arm and a leg, but not at Pro Express. I had a problem with my 2001 Jeep grand Cherokee. They asked me to come to their shop even though it was 15 mins before normal closing time. After 30 mins it was determined that I had some "bad" gas (bought at QT!) and was recommended to use hi grade for 2 or 3 fillups. No engine codes were found. I found Pro Express on Yelp and have to say that the reviews were spot on! My 04 Expedition was not running well at all and I called Herman, who told me to bring it in and he'd take a look.....at no charge. I liked the sound of that! We took it over and left it for them to look at. Richard looked it over and called with an estimate we could live with! They did tell me if I wanted to get the parts myself I could probably save about $100 but we opted to have them do it all. They had my car ready before they closed that day and even fixed a thing or two at no extra charge. While waiting on them to call I did do some internet research on estimated costs of such repairs and I feel like I was treated BEYOND fairly! Saved me on a cross country trip. I was driving my old civic from Nevada to Kentucky and the car kept stalling and having trouble starting. I dropped it off at 8 a.m. and by 9 the mechanic had called me and told me that it needed a new ignition. My car made a horrible and sustained noise as I was approaching OKC at night. The noise went away but I still wanted to get it checked out. I look on Yelp and decided to go to Pro Express and the mechanic there test drove my car and could not recreate the noise. He hooked up his diagnostic computer and checked and could not find the problem. After a conversation with me, he calmed my fears and sent me on my way without charging me. The noise never came back and I felt better for his professional and friendly consultation. The fact that he did not charge me was nice, although I think I should have paid him something for his time. The waiting room is comfortable but not fancy. read more

I have used pro express a few times for minor repairs before and had great experiences. Most recently however, I took my vehicle in and was over quoted by almost $600. I only realized this when I could not afford the ridiculous repair cost and decided to try a corporate establishment to see if they'd come up with the same diagnosis. Not even close. There were several "problems" that were clearly fabricated as a profit scam. The man who seems to own the place comes across honest and trustworthy, and he is who I have dealt with in the past. I honestly can't speak highly enough of Herman and the boys at Pro Express! The tie rods and ball joints on my car broke the night before I brought it in, and when I called to see if they could look at my car the next day, Herman was not only excited to help me, he asked my name and even suggested a tow truck service for me to use! When I got the car there I was greeted with a friendly hello and a handshake, and he reassured me that he would take a look and make sure everything was safe before he let me drive away. I didn't have an appointment, but they got me in with no hassle and 4-5 hours later my car was ready! The bill was about what I was expecting, topping out at ~$600, but I feel that it was a fair, if not competitively low, price to pay for all of the work that I did. When I went in to pay, they even told me what I needed to have done to my car as soon as possible.
