This was my first visit to the Katy location. I previously went to the Cypress location and had a great experience, which is why I stayed with this OBGYN group. Unfortunately, my experience at the Katy office was very disappointing. Although I provided my chief complaint when booking and was only advised of my copay beforehand, I was told after arriving and paying that I might owe anywhere from $29-$300 depending on labs. The front desk was unclear and inconsistent when I asked why this wasn't disclosed prior. One receptionist made it seem like upfront payment was required, while another later clarified that I could choose Quest and be billed later -- an option that was never initially explained. When I met with Nurse Practitioner Teniola Jackson, she immediately defended the receptionist's explanation and attributed the upfront payment request to insurance requirements. She stated that Quest was not mentioned because they typically only test two labs and that she preferred to order a full panel. This statement was inaccurate based on my recent medical history, as I had an annual physical completed where over ten labs were sent out to my preferred lab. Patients should never be forced to use a provider's preferred lab, particularly when network status and patient cost responsibility are unknown. I later confirmed with my insurance company that the office's in-house lab is out of network for my plan, which could have resulted in significant financial liability. To make matters worse, I was told three prescriptions would be sent to my pharmacy. They never were. By the time I realized this, the office was closed. I ultimately had to do a telehealth urgent care visit to get the same prescriptions. I'm not leaving this review to bash the practice, but to share an honest experience and hopefully bring attention to issues with communication, billing transparency, and follow-through that need improvement. read more

Zero stats.... 2nd visit didn't go as well as the initial visit. It's been a few days and I'm still waiting for a prescription submission. I haven't received a worthwhile reply for the delay. Nor has the prescription but updated. At this point, I will not return to this company. The business office manager has yet to address this issue. I get a lot of anxiety going to doctor's appointments, especially obgyn visits, the first experience I had with the last obgyn clinic was not great. However, I found this one it was close by and I was treated with a lot of warmth. Dr. Ogunlade was my doctor and she was AMAZING. I was coming for a well woman visit. She could tell I was really nervous and was exceptionally patient with me. Dr. Ogunlade had a lot of great stories and was very straightforward, which I really appreciated. I will absolutely be coming back to this clinic and highly recommend clinic. read more

I got my birth control here and it is a hidden little practice that is very comfortable and the ladies are there are friendly everything is straight to the point. Check what your insurance covers prior so you don't get surprised on extra charges read more

Had an annual visit and when asking why they are denying my prescriptions they said I need another visit. Since then no response to my calls at the Cypress location or response in the portal. During the visit we went over the prescriptions, why would I make another appointment for a prescription refill. I will not be back! read more

I have no idea why this office has such bad reviews--I had a truly fantastic experience from start to finish. I booked my appointment through the Memorial Hermann Hospital website and chose this location for its convenience to my home. Scheduling was easy, and the availability was very reasonable for a new patient. From the moment I arrived, everything went smoothly. I was seen within 15 minutes of check-in, and the office staff was courteous and professional. I saw a physician assistant who was outstanding--she took the time to really listen to my concerns, conducted a thorough exam, and made me feel heard and cared for. All necessary testing was done promptly, and I received my results and a prescription in a timely manner. The entire process--from booking, to the exam, to follow-up--was efficient and patient-centered. I honestly couldn't think of a better experience at a doctor's office. Highly recommend. read more

If zero stars was an option, I would've chosen that. My daughter was double billed for a telehealth visit and kept receiving emails and texts about paying the additional amount ( telehealth visits are paid for prior to the actual visit and we were billed two visits for the same day.) I have called and left messages for eight months for the billing office with no return call. I have called and asked for the practice manager, "Dr. O." to return my calls with no response. I've left messages with the answering service with no response. Was told that someone would call me back "in 30 minutes" with no return call. I have called multiple locations and their phones are no longer in service or have been disconnected. I went online to the website to the "contact us" only to receive an error message that the website could not be found. What a sham. This practice is a joke. I have been a healthcare provider for 30 years and this is not how a business is supposed to be run nor how patients are supposed to be served. (And it would be beneficial if the people answering the phone when you actually get to speak to a human have a grasp on the English language) read more

If I could give the experience my daughter received at the Cypress location zero stars I would have. The doctor did not introduce herself to me so I have no idea who she was. She was very rude to my daughter and I was actually called into the exam room with my daughter in tears, and trembling. Since this was her first gynecologic visit, I would have hoped for more compassion from the doctor whoever she was...My daughter kept telling her she's not sexually active but the doctor didn't believe her and though it was funny that she's still a virgin in College - maybe for religious reasons? The nerve! I raise my daughter to be a very kind, compassionate and yes, to save herself for her future husband. Is that so terrible? My heart aches for my daughter who is still traumatized. She says that she never wants to experience anything like that again. I find that sad since she needs to keep up with her reproductive health. Amazing how one doctor can change someone's life in such a negative way. read more

I loveeee the Dr F and her assistants ..the time knowledge and support they give you is amazing!! They are one of the best Obgyn clinics I've been to.. I'm not sure about the rest of the reviews but I've never had a bad experience other than not being able to schedule a appointment over the phone the first time other than that it's been a delightful experience, I've been going for 3yrs now. read more

When I went to go see Dr.O I was absolutely disappointed with my experience. When I pulled up to the establishment it looked like a rundown shack. I was asked to give a urine sample and when I went into the restroom the toilet seat, floor, and sink were covered in ants. I went to the front desk receptionist and told them about that bathroom and they ushered me to another one which was not clean at all. While waiting for the doctor I examined the waiting room and kept noticing dead bugs all over the waiting room. When I finally made it into the room to get examined I was just completely dismissed about all my issues that I was experiencing. I felt like I had no voice and I was not being seen. read more

I was at work on my lunch break and as my lunch I received a call from this office stating that they were returning a call from there caller id. I introduced myself and explain that I had made an online appointment and wanted confirmation, only to be told that someone else had that slot. The receptionist rescheduled me for 10:00 am for the same day. (which was fine) I was told to arrive 15 min before my appointment. Upon my arrival the place looked like an old house with very little parking I walk into the office and notice one of the young ladies was on the phone. I stood there and I finally said excuse me. I told her I had a 10:00 am appointment, I was asked for my Id and my insurance card. I was told to wait in my car and someone would call me when the doctor was ready. At 9:56 I received a phone call asking for Espinoza, I said Nooooo I'm Ms. Hayes she paused a min and said well you can come in. I was escorted to my room where I was told to undress and the doctor would be in shortly. I sat in the doctors officer for 45 mins and no doctor or nurse ever came in. I finally got dressed and walk to the front to let them know I was waiting to see the doctor and she never came in my room. One of the receptionist said: let me go see where she is...I said that won't be necessary I am leaving! Very unprofessional! read more

Horrible customer service across the board. Wait times are excessively long, even for well-woman exams and other routine appointments. It's very difficult to actually get seen by the doctor...hey listen, I get babies are unpredictable, but when you see a new practitioner EVERY TIME you go, there's something wrong. After seeing someone different twice in a row for a problem visit, I specifically requested Dr. O herself for my THIRD try at getting an appointment. When I got there the third time, lo and behold it was yet again someone different. I even asked to be notified if Dr O wouldn't be in and told them I'd be happy to reschedule short notice if need be. Anyway, I finally went ahead with the test they recommended and the exam was very rough. Then, instead of the nurse calling me to give me the results, I got a receptionist who said the test came back abnormal and I would need to come in for a FOURTH appointment. When I asked what was wrong, she said she couldn't answer and this would be discussed at the appointment...after which I would have to make a FIFTH appointment for "the next test". I have never written a bad review for a Doctor's office before, but this place is poorly run and I have no confidence in their diagnosis or treatment. There is no continuity of care and the customer service is abysmal. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

It says you can register online as a new patient, I've been pregnant and I haven't been able to get prenatal care since covid19 started, I showed up and they said they had nothing on file for me.. I showed them my confirmation emails and text messages and they basically said they was nothing they could do.. there was no one waiting in the building and they weren't willing to help me even after I told them I have not been able to see a doctor since finding out I was pregnant. They looked at me like I was stupid. Horrible staff. read more

Definitely won't be back for my next baby. This location was close to home and associated with memorial Herman so I picked it. The clinic looks like a repurposed residential home and is tucked away hidden behind what looks like a residential home itself. There's always the same red car parked closest to the door entrance that belongs to the front desk staff. That shows you how little courtesy they're giving to their pregnant patients. When I have to do sonogram imagining, blood work, glucose test, I have to travel to their other locations 30 mins away. If I had known this I wouldn't haven't picked this office. Dr Barrera is a new grad and is nice, but I find it odd that she can't greet her patients when she see them talking to the front desk. I work in the medical field so a little bit goes a long way. read more

We went there for original ultrasound and blood work and had a terrible experience waited excessively long and then the doctor was on call had to leave which is no problem but then we had to wait even longer for another doctor. Was about a 2.5 hour visit . Terrible experience from the receptionist to the doctors and gave them another chance for another ultrasound and were rushed out due to my wife's bladder not being full. I went last October as a new patient (and will have to go again in a few more months) and I personally had no bad experience here. Filled out the online forms right away, they called to confirm my appointment and easy as that. Receptionist when I got there were nice, and it didn't take long to get things done and leave. It's probably a good thing to mention that I am in my early 20s and I am only going for my prescription so my appointment may be bare minimum. I had Dr. Placette and she was informative and nice. COVID may have made appointments more difficult the last few years and other patients may have been frustrated before, but as of late I don't think it will be as bad now. I called several places last year before this clinic and they all had lengthy wait times for appointments months out, and I did not have time to wait. This was one of the few clinics in my area last year that actually had openings and let me get things done. It might not always be long-term, but for someone who wont be dealing with baby-related things anytime soon, this was a good option for me! read more

It's been 9 months since this horrible experience but I should definitely write my experience to warn others from possibly experiencing something horrible like what I had to go through. May 12, 2021 I went to the hospital which was st. Luke's the vintage and was going in since I was having contractions that where 3-5min apart when I got their they told me since I was only 36 weeks pregnant they were going to stop my contractions which we agreed it was the best option. I waited an hour and my contractions only worsen so they gave me another shot to calm my contractions. Finally after 3 hrs of contractions dr. Placette came into to the room and told me I was going home that I was not contracting and began pressing down my stomach so badly while I was having contractions. I was crying so bad because I could not believe the tone and how rude she was being with out sympathy she continued saying I was basically lying that I was having contractions and to just hydrate myself. That I was going home. I would tell her how am I supposed to just go home if I'm contracting what am I supposed to do and she would respond so rudely saying I was not having contractions. At this point my contractions where non stop, and they made me walk to find my husband in the lobby downstairs never offered a wheel chair or anything my legs would shake so bad I would have to hold my self and drop to the floor every 2 minutes from the contractions being so bad! Long story short 5 hrs later my water broke and I was 10 cm dilated and gave birth at Houston Methodist on willowbrook god knows if I would've stayed to be in Dr. Placettes hands I would of probably died and my son since he was breeched! read more

I saw Dr. Placette's nurse practitioner in 2019 and was super happy and she refilled two hormone meds for me (which I have been on for 3 yrs) with no question. In November of 2020 I saw Dr. Placette. It was for a routine well woman exam and I had no issues. She was insistent that the meds I am on feed cancer, so she was adamant about me getting a biopsy. She said once I got it, if all was ok, she would refill my script. I got it to pacify her and they called a few weeks later to tell me the biopsy was normal. Great! I asked them to fill my script and nothing. I have called and HEB has called several times since November and she just denied the refill today. Why? Because now she is saying I need to go in for a consultation from my biopsy. If that is the case, why didn't they tell me this when they called with the results in November? Sounds like another way to bill the insurance company to me. I am beyond livid. read more
