Could not have been more disappointed with this company. My GC used them for my basement build and…read moreboy were they BAD. They damaged all my Solid core doors just installing the door hardware. They kept messing up the base trim around the house. They had to keep coming out to "fix" their issues, but eventually my GC called out his Handy Man to tear out sections and replace it. Such simple things that I could have done myself better, and now I'm stuck living with this on a brand new build out. Avoid them if at all possible, I would never call them for even something simple. They came out to install some barn door guides and even split the trim and just left, again my GC had another guy come out and clean up their mess. On top of that, my basement smelled like an ashtray for a few hours after one of their guys left. It was impressive just how bad of a job their guys did, they clearly knew they were doing crap work and just left, I guess hoping no one would notice.

Most quoted us $5,000+ to do it all. We got our vanity custom made with KC Wood and their recommended plumber all for under $3,000 (my budget). They were very helpful every step of the way. They had a great selection of tops, door and drawer styles, everything. I would recommend them to anyone.

Chad and his crew did a lot of work for us. They finished our basement, re-set and sealed our…read moreleaking windows, installed doors, and fixed numerous little things around the house. They do wonderful drywall, concrete, electric, and plumbing work for a fair price, they keep on schedule, and they don't make excuses. He and his crews pulled all the necessary permits and worked very hard to ensure that we were happy with their work. It's a little difficult to find a good remodeling contractor north of the river but we found an excellent one when we hired Artisan Construction. They did very professional work for us and responded to all of our questions, as well as providing valuable guidance toward achieving our remodeling goals.

We had our windows replaced last summer. One of the windows had a wall of shingles all around it…read more The window guys took the shimgles off and apparently threw them away (bummer) and we have been anxious to get the shingles back on the house as the white house wrap stood out like a sore thumb! We called Artisan Construction as they now have a home repair specialist. Artisan sent out a man who not only completed the project perfectly (after a few trips to the local hardware store), but was very detailed and cared about what the end result looked like. He wanted to paint the trim he had replaced, but my husband did not know where to find the paint swatch for the new paint. (The window guys- At Windura) not only took some paint off the house while replacing windows, but they never offered to correct it afterwards! ) I will call Artisan for our next house repair project as I know they will take care of whatever we have for them with the same expertise as they did replacing our shingles.

Mr Remodeler - This was fixed.

I cannot recommend. I ordered an Onyx Collection sink which included the installation of the sink…read more(with a 3-piece backsplash) and installation of a faucet (I provided) for a small bathroom vanity. I was concerned about what cleaners to use so the salesperson told me he would throw in a free bottle of cleaner. I was told 6-8 weeks wait for the sink to be made but I waited patiently for several months. When I called, I was told it would be installed the next week. A couple more weeks went by but I wasn't upset. When the installer arrived, he asked me if I still wanted all 3 sides of the backsplash and I said yes, I paid for that and he said he was just checking. Let's just say attention to detail and pride in workmanship is NOT evident. I had left a drip tray to use but he grabbed a bucket that had my new drawer pulls in it and some tools and said idk what is in here and continued to put it under the dripping plumbing...I had to stop him and say that is why I left that tray for you to use right here. He put the tray on top of water that already dripped on the painted wood vanity so I had to tell him let's wipe that up first. I noticed when he had to leave to get plumbing parts (the plumbing was leaking) that he had put a towel over the sink, the towel was covering a chip in the sink. I removed the towel he put there a second time before he left and showed him the chip and he said they would send him back out to fix it. He called the Project Manager and told him the day of the installation about the chip but no one called me to set up a time to fix it. He had braced the backsplash because he said that one side was bowed which I appreciated but when I removed the brace, the cardboard he used had damaged the caulk. And the backsplash was about 1/4" too short but instead of telling me, it was installed and the space was filled in with caulk. I believe that is why I was asked if I still wanted all 3 sides. I asked about the cleaner and he said it was on the work order but not in the shop. He did offer to go back and look but I said that's okay, don't make a special trip, it was free. The caulk looked dirty from day one (I think his finger was dirty) and it was messed up in several places. The backsplash pieces are not flesh on one said and the faucet was slightly crooked. I called the Project Manager/salesman for 2 weeks leaving multiple messages thinking he would come take a look but instead, he flat out ignored my calls. I finally called and got the owner who said it had been passed off to him and he was supposed to call me back. He said they would order a new piece to replace the short one and that they could remove the installed backsplash without damaging the walls. I was reluctant but said ok if he agreed to fixing any damages. I took off work and waited but they were a no show. I was told the man that was supposed to come out, had a family emergency. A week later, they sent the same man to fix the problems that had installed it. He straightened the sink by hand and caulked over with the leftover caulk I still had. I didn't watch him fix the chip (because I had to work) but you can see when the light hits it that it almost looks like sandpaper was used, I'm not sure but it's not shiny, its matte in places like when you sand something. I had called Onyx to report and they said they would fix it if Mr. Remodeler/Keith Blay Construction did not. I wish I had them fix the chip. The installer told me that Onyx only has one person that does repairs insinuating I would have had to wait a long time. He told me he did not think he could remove the backsplash without damaging my walls which is what I suspected too so I did not have him do that. Very disappointing workmanship and customer service. I should have been told about the short backsplash and given a choice of it being installed or waiting for a new piece. Just not the workmanship I expected at all. I showed a couple friends my new sink and didn't say anything but they noticed the backsplash and being too short and not flesh themselves. The people are nice but the workmanship is lacking. I waited 22 years to do this project and this wasn't worth the wait. When I called Onyx, they did say that this company had done a lot of work for them and they hadn't had any complaints yet. I suspect since mine was a small job ($888), it wasn't of high priority.
