Quick lunch detour on the Great Ocean Road. We stopped a bit into the afternoon so it was empty inside, save for a few other folks that came in right after us. We chose to order from the takeaway menu because it was cheaper and we didn't feel like staying there to eat. They had a good variety of beer and wine on sale as well.
We got some hamburgers and I went ahead and ordered a side of french fries. When our order came out (after about 10 minutes) I was surprised to see two smaller items and then one item, about the size of a small backpack, all individually wrapped. We made it out to car and I unwrapped said small backpack item and couldn't stop laughing. It was a mountain of french fries! Much more french fries than two people could eat...
Anyway, the burgers were okay. The "backpack" of fries filled the car with fried food smell for the next several days. But they were good. It was an okay option for a quick bite during our road trip. Careful ordering the side of fries. read more
