Another thing I love about the Huntingburg Public Library is all of the programs it offers to kids in the community! They have maintained an outstanding "summer reading" program for years, which is a great way to keep kiddos reading during their break from school! The staff is great and so helpful! If you have any questions or are seeking suggestions, I encourage you reach out to them; they are so knowledgable and eager to serve! All in all, this is a great public library and has so much to offer to Huntingburg!

Back in the day libraries were a place you were told to be quiet and respectful of others. The staff here must be incapable of using their inside voices. They talk at loud levels amongst each other, to patrons and when on the phone. This building carries sound that travels to me wherever I am in the library that detracts from my work, but I still give it 5 stars solely for the fact that it's here, and I'd rather have it than not!

Personally when I go to a library I prefer to look for a nook/cranny that I can snuggle up in with my books and laptop. This library does not really offer that. It has some tables to sit at, but each floor is just one giant room, and the sound from the other side of the library can carry all the way over to you. The children's area is not separated from the rest of the library, which I think was a mistake.
