This was, by far and away, one of the most magical experiences my 5 year old niece has ever had! When a live and lovely mermaid greeted her by waving her big and colorful tail, my niece was in total awe! The mermaid read her a story, told her tales of the sea and mermaid trivial, gave her a mermaid makeover and even gifted her with a very special present before "swimming " away. The mermaid was fun and funny,so engaging and looked like a dream come true! What an epic treat‍‍

The characters made our party magical! I can't possibly say enough about how wonderful our fairies were and how much fun they added. Music, glitter tattoos, games, songs, dancing and so much fun! The fairies kept the big group of kids wrangled and entertained so the parents could sit back and relax a bit. There was nothing amateur-ish about the singing and dancing. The little ones were inspired to join along! Having the birthday song led by the characters made it really special to our birthday girl!

Months before my daughter's birthday party I was so stressed cause she wants a disney descendants 2 themed party. And looking for a character with the said theme was very hard because its just new. Luckily the Merry Umbirthday accomodated me and said that they have it. So to make the story short, my daughter enjoyed her birthday party last saturday because the character Mal from Descendants 2 came. She became the party host and kids playmate at the same time. All my guest said that she was awesome. I will definitely getting their service again on my daughter's next birthday and will surely recommend the company to family and friends. Again thank you to The Merry Unbirthday for making my daughter's birthday a memorable one for her..

Very happy to find this intimate location to lessen to some great holiday rat pack tunes…read more The theatre only holds about 50 guests. They have some snacks, drinks, beer, and wine on the patio before and at intermission. Looking forward to attending other shows in the future.

Thanks to Fever, we heard about the Rat Pack Holiday Tribute show, which is right up our alley, so we got some tickets. It was a challenge to find out about the theatre and the difference between a regular ticket and a VIP ticket. We were told VIP included parking (we just parked for free on the street), a free glass of wine (not a bad wine, served in a plastic cup with a straw), and guaranteed front row seating (no one seated us, but we did sit in the front). Super tiny, only about 40-50 people, so it's an intimate show. It also got pretty warm in there, so dress in layers and be prepared for that! Out on the deck/patio, they have tables chairs for before and during intermission (though it was chilly outside that night). This is also where they have concessions (water, beer, wine and a few snacks like cookies, candy, etc). The entire staff was very kind and the show was great. I also got to pet one of their ponies on our way back out to the car. We joined their email list and, depending on the show, we are likely to make our way back to the Big Oak Little Theatre!

Ms. Malorie and her staff provide high quality training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, breaking and also offer conditioning classes. We have been to a few dance studio but this is the best studio by far. This is not only fun for the little ones but at the same time they will get the technique training. My current review is a reiteration of the high quality dance training provided by Miss Malorie and her staff, and the encouragement and development of each child who goes to the studio to find his/her inner dancer, whether that dancer takes a couple of classes a week for exercise and personal development, or goes on to train and compete on the competition team. Dancers compete in competitions, attend dance conventions, and have opportunities to perform at various venues. Both of my girls have learned and grown so much over the past few years at CCPA. My older one dances successfully both on her high school dance team and on the CCPA team; the younger one is establishing her skills and self-confidence as she heads toward middle school in her final year in elementary school. This is an excellent dance studio with a high return in value. We have been with CCPA for 7 years and I can't recommend it enough!

I spent money on the good seats up front (in this economy it was definitely a thought out purchase). My excited was out the door a few minutes in. They say explicitly at the start of each show that there are no phones allowed. Like I mentioned earlier, I've been to shows here before and have witness staff be quick to shut down anyone trying to take a picture or video. I really liked that about this venue because it allows for the audience to enjoy the show without any distractions. That was not the case this time around. Not long after the beginning of the show, phones started coming out. I though, "for sure someone will come tell them something soon". Spoiler: No one ever did, not once, the whole show. Other parties caught on that they would not be asked to stop so they joined in. I had 6 different phones going up and down in front of me the whole show. The most upsetting part for me was that staff did come into the area when guiding late comers to their seats. They saw the phones out and did nothing about it. I was so bummed by the end of the show to say the least. Now that I know the phone rule is no longer enforced I don't think I'll be back. I really liked that I could go to the Soraya and collectively experience a show in the moment without a sea of phones ruining the experience. However, that does not seem to be the case anymore.
