Have gotten excellent care both at the ER and a scheduled surgery. Also had excellent service with X-rays, sonogram, and MRI.

The ER is the worst. Avoid if you can. It'll be faster to go to another hospital further out to get better service.

I had a very, very long labor and the staff took great care of me and my fiancée and we were as comfortable as one can be while in labor.

I've been asking Kaiser for nearly a year (probably more) to stop allowing a specific member…read moreservices rep to access my medical information and to stop allowing her to be involved in my care. No matter how many times I've asked, nothing has changed. It's made me feel powerless over who sees my health information, even though I've been clear about my discomfort. After surgery last year, I was barely out of the hospital when I found my primary care doctor had been changed without my consent. Neither I nor my doctor requested this. When I called to ask what happened, I was told the very rep I'd been asking to remove was responsible. This made it much harder to get the care I needed. I was assigned a new doctor who didn't know my medical history and refused to refill one of my daily medications without an appointment, causing delays during a vulnerable recovery period. I have repeatedly tried to get answers. Kaiser's own resolution letters say I can request the information used to decide my case, but despite asking multiple times, I still haven't received it. I hoped this would clarify why these actions keep happening, but I've hit a dead end. It would appear they don't follow their own policies and it seems abusive to allow the person I filed the complaint against to "perform" the "investigation." More recently, I was billed for an ultrasound during a back injection that my doctor confirmed in a message he never used. The same rep I've had serious concerns about "reviewed" the dispute and upheld the charge. I asked for a second review, not only because of the billing error but also because of the ongoing pattern of this rep failing to assist me. A supervisor reviewed it and still left the charge in place. They refused to remove the charge despite the doctor's email, and they also refused to remove the rep from my case. At this point, it feels less like a misunderstanding and more like I am being targeted. I'm not sure how many times I had to call before someone removed the charge. It feels impossible to get fair, unbiased help no matter how much evidence I provide. After everything, I honestly feel dismissed at every turn. I feel unfairly treated and pressured. I feel like I am being bullied. It feels abusive. Why am I forced to share my PHI with her?

Came here with my sick 1 year old who was burning up for days. Chief complaint was a fever, possible UTI. Why did it take THREE HOURS just to give her some Tylenol because they said "sorry they inputted the wrong temperature". Two more hours went by and still no results from the UTI we actually walked out because it was ridiculous. Nurses were literally standing around chit chatting blatantly saying how they hate walking by people because then they get asked to do things - UHM LIKE YOUR JOB?? I went multiple times to find someone on the floor to get updates and they were all hiding in a room and cackling. On two different occasions did someone bring my daughter back to get an x-ray that was not warranted. First time they thought we were a different patient, second time was ordered because they put in her chart she has a cough and I had to tell them no, she doesn't have a cough. We didnt even have a room so we are waiting in the hallway of the ER area. They gave her Tylenol which spilled all over me as if they can't even give medication to kids? These are Great Value nurses and PAs at best. It was FIVE HOURS of being here with no answers before we left. And they had the audacity to ask for my insurance for billing. I have never had such an unprofessional ghetto experience ever. Ive had better service at ERs deep in the hood. This was a complete joke and no one knows what they are doing.

Everyone in the ER was pleasant and helpful and someone came to get me to bring me back to their room and talk with the doctor. The ER doctor was busy, so I don't hold that against them. The nurses and techs were wonderful, walked us through everything being done, they ran tests and scans immediately. We then went to ICU quickly. Everyone there is so helpful and kind, even though it was super busy. The seem to have the correct number of staff to cover the unit and the staff worked well together. The nurse gave us a full update and found chairs for us. The entire time in ICU we were updated daily by phone as well as updated in person when we arrived to visit. I was glad this hospital met my expectations as we were very familiar with Prince William and I was not sure if we would get the same level of care.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL/ER!…read more We took our 3-year-old to the ER after he started vomiting from eating fish, and the experience was incredibly frustrating from start to finish. I understand ERs can get busy, but this felt extremely disorganized and unnecessarily time-consuming. 11:07 PM - We arrived and started registration. 11:15 PM - Our son was called back for initial screening (weight, blood pressure, oxygen level, etc.). 11:20 PM - We were sent back to the waiting room and told they were cleaning a room and it would be about a 15-minute wait. 12:10 AM - After waiting nearly an hour, we spoke to staff and explained that we had an infant and another toddler at home with a neighbor and needed to either be seen soon or leave. 12:15 AM - We were finally placed in a room, but the nurse informed us there was only one provider working that night and she could not give us any estimate on how much longer it would take to be seen. We explained again that we had other young children at home and could not stay indefinitely, so we decided to leave. As we were checking out, the receptionist asked if we had seen the provider yet since we had "just gone back." We explained the situation, and after speaking with the nurse, he told us the provider had already gone into the room but we were not there. 12:30 AM - We rushed back to the room, only to be told the provider had moved on to another patient because we weren't inside when he stopped by. 12:59 AM - The provider finally came in, listened to our son's lungs, checked his stomach, and said he seemed to be recovering well since he was sleeping comfortably. He told us he would provide a dose of medication for the night and discharge us. 1:00 AM - The provider left to get the medication and complete discharge. 1:15 AM - After another long wait, we asked the nurse what was taking so long. We were told the medication request was waiting on pharmacy verification. 1:30 AM - A nurse finally brought discharge papers and told us the prescription had been sent to our pharmacy for pickup the next day. We explained that the doctor specifically said he would give us a dose for the night before discharge. She apologized and said she would check with the provider. At 1:45 AM, after hours of waiting for what should have been a very quick visit, we were completely exhausted and left without the medication dose. I understand ERs prioritize critical patients first, but the communication, delays, and constant back-and-forth made this experience far more stressful than it needed to be -- especially with small children involved.
