Feerless Painting was recommended by a friend. This is a family business. Jeff is the owner and…read moredad, and is the person who runs the show. His two sons and a friend do the work. My friend described her experience as being joyful. My experience is the same. I don't know that I am too different from the average customer. I had trouble committing to paint colors. I spent hours and days looking at color chips. When they started their prep work on a Friday, I was still looking. I finally gave them my color choices that evening. Jeff said he wouldn't pick my colors for me but he did nudge me in the right direction. I wanted a light and airy feel. We went with a couple shades of white and accents of mostly sage greens. I highly recommend Pittsburgh Paint, Slow Dance. It is a light sage and is beautiful, especially with Delicate White from the same brand. The job started with us wanting to paint the living room, kitchen, including the cabinets and the master bedroom. After meeting with Jeff, the project grew into painting two bathrooms, including the cabinets and two more bedrooms. This included all of the ceilings, some interior doors and trim as well. And after they started we added several more doors to the project. The job also included patching a few defects in the walls, especially areas where the sheetrock tape had failed. Everything inside the house was painted as well as the exterior doors and some exterior window trims. We added to the project almost daily. My friend did the same thing with them. We just purchased the house. Someone had put a lot of energy into painting the walls, some with a suede and others with an Italian plaster texture. We were really going to try to enjoy what they did, but they simply used dark ugly colors! We are so happy that we freshened the entire house. These guys show up ready to work every morning, on time. And they work solid all day. I can't say enough as to how organized they are. It was estimated for the job to take a week and a half. And with the add ons, they still finished on schedule. And besides being extremely efficient in their work, you can see and hear their joy throughout the day. I highly recommend Fearless Painting.

Jimmy and crew recently painted a D3000 sq ft home in Waimea inside and out. He washed, prepped, primed, and painted two coats. They bring their own good energy. All of his employees are happy and kind. Jimmy and his team never swore or ever was mad at anything. The entire crew was the nicest, hardest working folks I've ever met. I'm certain his people feel like the luckiest people in the world for working with him. They all have smiles and were meticulous with every part of this job. The outside was painted 3 different colors. It is absolutely immaculate. I have never met anyone that's done a better job. Especially considering that we live on Oahu and he on the Big Island. So finding someone we could trust to do what they say they'll do in the timeframe promised was a risky proposition on our part. But Mike won me over from the get go with his honest assessment of the repairs that needed to be done and the cost he quoted. He wasnt cheap but he was competitive and mostly he was very patient with my aging parents who kept asking him to cut out this and that to bring the price down. I loved how Mike looked for ways to belp us reduce our cost where he could but then stayed true to fixes that was important and necessary. He was also very good with sending us weekly photos to show us the progress of the job and when we could fly over to check on the work he always made himself available to meet us to go over the details of the work. Our family was very happy with his work and most especially of the "Aloha" professionalism he always showed us when discussing business. The house we owned was an investment property we had rented for years but it had been neglected too even though it was managed by a local property mgmt firm. Putting it mildly..the house was in poor condition with ALOT of work that needed to be done. Even the yard had been neglected but Mike helped us out by referring one of his workers who cleaned it up for us in one day and doing it in rain. In the end, we ended up selling the house in less than a year since Mike and his crew began the work. He did an awesome job. So easy to work with and so creative in his problem solving. Fair pricing and timely work...and again the most respectable and trusting contractor you'll find on the Waimea, Kohala and Waikoloa side of the Big Island. Highly recommended! Mahalo Mike!

We decided to break the work up in to 2 phases as the project had a natural stopping point and the unit is an active vacation rental in Kona Shores that we wanted to be available for several of our "regular" renters. Like other reviews have stated, we are extremely happy with the work Mike and his crew did for us. We give our full recommendation and will use him for our next project. To summarize some of the key points from our 2 experiences working with Mike, he is: - Highly organized and meticulous (provides very detailed timelines and itemized invoices. He also shares lots of pictures as work progresses) - A great communicator, who is responsive and timely (We've never had a contractor as responsive as Mike) - On time and budget - Does very high quality work - Brings good ideas when you hit unexpected challenges - Willing and happy to go the extra mile for you to see the job done right Please see the attached before and after photos of our project. They speak well for the quality of Mike and his crew's work! Mahalo Mike!
