I am so glad I found Halo HVAC through Yelp! My AC stopped cooling in a heat wave and I had many…read moreother companies quoting me $200++ for diagnostics or unable/unwilling to come out for weeks. I went to Yelp looking for a better option and definitely found one! Halo was able to come out within a couple days of contacting them and the diagnostic fee was $89, which was to be applied to any work performed if needed. it turned out it was a tripped breaker they were able to reset and my system is cooling perfectly again... for $89!! The most notable and appreciated factor for me is they didn't come in trying to sell me service plans, upgrades to my system or accessories, or otherwise upsell me on a well maintained and well functioning older HVAC system. Even when I asked for a quote on a heat pump to take advantage of the rebates while they last, Halo didn't push me to pick the most expensive option or upsell me on a pricier type of system. And icing on the cake - despite a lot of in and out while working on figuring things out, my technician was constantly putting on and taking off booties to keep my house clean. It's a small token of respect that goes a long way, and I very much appreciate it! I'll be using Halo and referring them to friends and family in the future!

The first 2 found nothing wrong and told me it was an old system that was insufficient for my house. Both tried to sell me on a new system. Before Heath even came to my house he walked me through looking for a couple of common problems, but no luck. Once he arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem and got it fixed. Then, since he was here and had the time, he did a better job patching up the ducting that one of the previous guys had mangled and he helped me with an issue I had with my thermostat. Do not go this way!…read more I had Charlie come over and clean my air ducts at the end of summer. I asked him to come over and inspect my furnace at the end of winter and he told me that my carbon monoxide levels were dangerously high because my furnace was clogged! so he yanked out my furnace (without permission) and told me I needed to replace my furnace asap. I learned late that the carbon monoxide testing was taken in the wrong place, the flue. Not knowing that he personally cleaned my air ducts he explained that my furnace wouldn't have been clogged if someone would have cleaned my air ducts properly. I know many people around town that find Charlie (drives a red van and changes companies) to be a con. These people aren't on yelp but I am.
