We had just had lunch, so by the time we got to Piazza San Marco, we were not ready for another…read moremeal, so we sat down to have drinks. It was a Friday afternoon and there were tables available, we were told to find an open table and someone would come serve us. We got the seat at the edge and enjoyed espressos and spritzes, while people watching. Oh! And don't forget to keep an eye out for the birds. A couple swooped down on tables close to us, including a poor man who wasn't paying much attention. As in most of the places we visited, there is a seating fee per person, but being from USA, I'd happily pay that any day in comparison to a % of the total bill. Three Spritzes and three Espressos came out to €90, but hey, we sat and relaxed there comfortably for a little over an hour waiting for the girls to finish shopping.
