I called Pretty Nails to see if Phillip was working since he is so good with my ingrown toenails. They said he sure was working, come on down. To which I did. I get there and don't see Phillip. I asked if he was there, they said yes. So they lead me over and get the water started and ask me to pick out a color. I sit down and Phillip is not getting the stuff ready, some other guy is. I thought, he's probably just getting everything ready for Phillip. So he starts in and I ask where Phillip is again. Oh, he's at lunch. Why in the sam hell didn't they tell me that?? So we were into the pedicure and it was obvious the guy didn't know how to deal with an ingrown toenail. They hurt me. Another lady had to come over and help. So then the guy starts applying polish and he goofed up 3 toenails. He was just going to let it go until I said something. So then he had to completely redo them. About this time I see Phillip stroll thru the shop and go out and have a smoke break! I was so upset!! After all this and he was there the WHOLE time! I'll never go back. If my little girl did not love that Hello Kitty chair so much, they'd be getting ZERO stars. The gel feels rubbery even after it dried. They painted over the cuticles. They didn't file my nails so they were all uniform. The polish and gel are actually so thick and it just looks gross. The topcoat actually "pooled" in a mini puddle in my cuticles. It looks like I painted them myself. For $80 bucks go somewhere else. Mani and pedi gel for $80 is too much. Upside- mani/pedi for my 5yr Old was ok. They were attentive to her and she loved that hello kitty chair. read more

I stopped in to get a regular mani pedi but there were no prices posted. I asked how much a mani-pedi was and was and finally was handed a menu of sorts which stated it was $35 for a pedicure and $15 for the manicure. Really $50 for a regular mani pedi? I left and went to another place by the theater and got a great one done by a really wonderful person for $40. I think they're a little overpriced. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. If I was more outspoken I would have spoke up about how what I wanted was priced at $28 dollars and not $45 dollars I would have. I said I wanted stiletto and he even asked to confirm I wanted stiletto and I said yes... I have the most expensive and unattractive nails I've ever gotten before. The environment was nowhere near friendly either and he was very rough moving my hands around because I was "too tense" I paid with my card and was asked passive aggressively if I wanted to leave a tip. Me being the considerate person I am said yeah sure two dollars he then hands me the receipt and points out he only charged me $40 and pointed at the slot for the tip to be filled out. There is also nail polish on my hands the nails are uneven and not painted fully. I will never come back here nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone I know let alone a stranger. I would have went to Blackwell if they were open today and next time I will be more patient and wait for good service instead of trying out a new place (new to me) and be completely unsatisfied. Right when we walked in the people were super friendly! We got in right away and everything felt so good! They did an excellent job on both my husband and I! I think he enjoyed it way more than I did! The only thing I didn't really like is after he was finished I think he missed half of my nail and for the both of us it was $100 I feel like that's a little pricey. I have a love hate relationship with this place. I used to love it here and get a fill every two weeks here. but the main guy is pretty rude. If he makes a mistake he blames you. Or comments that it's because of your nails and it's not his fault. He tends to do good work until it comes to the polish. They coat over the cuticle and often forget the final top coat and argue that it's already been done when it hasn't. Maybe it's the busy times of day and a rush to get you out the door. Absolutely the WORST mani pedi EVER!!!! He tore my toenail half way down the nail bed which had to be glued! He caused pain while he haphazardly cut dead skin away (which there wasn't much to take off! Used a dremmel took to take off the gel coating even after I asked him NOT TO, which shredded my nails causing any length to be ripped off and now my nails are thin and brittle! The gel french manicure didn't even go to the very tips of some of my nails!! Mutliple times I wanted to get up and walk out but I didn;t want the confortation. Shame on me. After paying my $80 bill (which included a polish for my daughter at $14, SERIOUSLY...$14???) I went straight over to another salon and had them redone the right way! Cost me a totoal of $140 and 4 hours of my day that was suppose to be spend with family on out vaction. Since then my nails have split off on three fingers and had to be cut back to the quick because of his DREMMEL tool!
