I was quickly taken to the bowl to get an intake done of the services I wanted and what my desired looked was. Colleen was amazing she was very informed on the color services I wanted. I get there on time and the owners daughter who's really sweet set me and began separating the hair. She confirmed what I was getting and the price I was quoted. She did one braid. I told her it was short. She asked me if I wanted the hair braided to my waist or if I wanted it to hang to my waist. I said, braid it to my waist she began braiding more. I had to get up to check on my son I looked in the mirror and told her these braids are too short. She agreed they were too short and she kept braiding. I assume she was braiding longer in the back half and she would come back and fix the ones that were too short, but that did not happen. Her mom the owner came down because another client came. She finished her and she assisted with me. I turned around and asked the owner are these waist length because they're pretty short. she got upset and say yes these are waist length why? I said because they're not waist length they're actually only braided to my bra strap and the rest is hanging. I would never want that much synthetic hair hanging. She said oh well that's what we do here and when you say waste length it's the hair that's hanging to your waist, not braided to your waist. I said that's not standard because everywhere else waist length is braided to the waist, which is why it cost more not because there's hair hanging that would hang anyway. she said I don't know where you went but here that's not how we do it. She also stated at how she's been in business for 20 years and how you just can't please everyone. All while yelling. I didn't match her tone or her raised voice because my minor son was there and so was her daughter, but I did let her know that when I called and got a quote I asked for waist length. I let her daughter know twice that the braids was too short she said, yeah I know that she let me know. I said well if she let you know, why didn't you come down here and address it. She said I'm addressing it now. I can either cut the braids out and you can go or for 50 more dollars we can braid to your waist. I said I have already been here for 4 1/2 hours. I have to go to physical therapy in 40 minutes. I can't do that. She continue to get upset and yell about how long she's been in business how she knows what she's doing and not to compare her to other places. I didn't even go back-and-forth with her because once again I wouldn't do that in front of minors. I cannot drive due to my recent surgery, so I'm on someone else's time so that's the reason I did not have her take the braids down or go someplace else because I've wasted a half a day there. I would have to go and shampoo my hair to find another shop to go to. I cannot drive so I'm on someone else's time and I had a funeral to attend in the morning. My take away from this entire experience was very unpleasant as I've been to her before although it was years ago I've worn Braids all year. although over time I've been to different shops standard in this industry for waist length is braided to the waist or at least close to it not the middle of the back and it's hanging to your waist. It's synthetic hair. You should be given the option or if you want several inches of hair hanging there was no reason for her to raise her voice as I did not raise mine nor did I ever get disrespectful. My parts are not the same size. My parts are not the same shape. I do not have a center part. If I wanted to wear my hair in two ponytails, it would be a zigzag part. I have approximately five braids that come past my butt. Approximately six braids that hangs to my waist and the rest stop in the middle of my back. I did not realize this until I got home and looked in the mirror, but she knew this while she was raising her voice yelling at me I would never recommend anyone going here. I would tell you to go someplace else where you get what you were expect and your money's worth. If this was not paid in cash, I absolutely would dispute this charge because I did not get what I paid for and I am very disappointed.

Before booking my appointment, I specifically called the salon and asked if they had experience braiding with human braiding hair. I explained exactly what I wanted, and I was assured they were familiar with the technique. Based on that conversation, I scheduled my appointment. I paid a significant amount for the human hair and, in total, spent over $500 on this style. I requested small twists, but the twists in the back were much larger and bulkier than I asked for. Two braiders worked on my hair. The owner braided the back, while another braider did the front. You can clearly see the difference in size because the front is noticeably smaller than the back. The biggest issue, however, was the technique used to install the human hair. Although I was told they had experience, the hair was not braided using the proper method for human braiding hair. The very next day, I simply flipped my hair and braids began slipping out in the back. I also noticed many other braids throughout my head were loose. I even took one braid down myself and confirmed that the installation technique was incorrect. I contacted the salon immediately and had to drive 30-40 minutes back, which was a major inconvenience. Instead of evaluating the entire style, they only reinstalled the braids that had already fallen out. The many other loose braids throughout my head were not addressed, even though the problem was widespread. Unfortunately, the braids continued to loosen and fall out afterward. For the amount of money I invested, I expected quality work and a style that would last. Instead, I was left extremely disappointed. Had I known the salon was not truly experienced with human braiding hair, I would have gone elsewhere. I wish they had been honest about their experience before I sat in the chair. If you're considering this salon specifically for human braiding hair, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions and ensure they are truly experienced with the proper technique before booking. My experience was very poor, and I cannot recommend them for this service.

But I got very lucky when I called and was given a time slot for same-day service. Ha, the owner of the business, is so sweet and courteous. She takes the time to listen to your needs, and educate you based on the condition of your nails so you can make an informed decision about which service is best for you. The salon has a wide variety of colors, including chrome, and has swatches of nail art options. The establishment is clean, and proper 'Rona precautions are in place. Prior to service, you're asked to wash your hands.
