While traveling abroad to Edinburgh, I wanted to visit a golf course in the north place of golf. This course is not a far walk/drive from Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh. While walking there, my siblings and I got "lost" because the GPS doesn't take you to the club house exactly. We eventually make it to the hotel and find a fellow with golf clubs. We asked about the golf club and he graciously invited us to ride with him in his personal vehicle to the club house and course just up the hill. His name was Ian and he is the current golf club president at Prestonfield. He was wonderfully nice as was the rest of the staff. If we had had more time I would have loved to have played this course. They invite visitors and welcome them with open arms. Highly recommend this place as a visit if you are in the area. read more
