First I went into an urgent care clinic with such bad asthma and they helped me and told me to go to her as soon as possible. She did not use a stethoscope on my front chest. My daughter heard bad wheezing there by ear. She said I was not Wheezing. I always get prednisone and am not believed by her but she would not give me that. I had to borrow money on an extremely limited budget to get air purifiers. This is the only reason I survived. I am on a limited budget so now I have to make payments for them. Now she wants to take away my rescue inhaler which I have gotten monthly since I was 19 for 30 years. I have a different type of Asthma than most people. More like a" type one" as far as asthma goes and she does not care. I am made a liar. She used to be great. I have had bad pet allergies since I have been 2 years old and now because of her I cannot go anywhere or have people over because I will not have a rescue inhaler. I cannot see the dander on people.

I am currently staying in the hospital after having a major surgery yesterday. I was transferred to…read moremed surg floor afterwards, which is really dated and it well taken care of. The lights in my room don't work, there's buttons missing off the remote and some of the buttons on the bed do not work. So after 5pm it's just pitch black in my room because the lights don't work. I personally find this to be unacceptable. I was moved to the floor about 11:30am on Tuesday, the nurses called the cafeteria to order a tray. The nurses then called again numerous times after to follow up on this. The nurses did try to make this right, and bring me a sandwich, however my mouth and throat are dry from surgery so I could not eat it. I ended up having to door dash food in order to eat because the cafeteria staff didn't do their jobs, costing me about $30. The pain management has been a little ridiculous, I understand the opioid addiction problem we have right now in the US, however offering someone Tylenol for pain from a major surgery with some complications is absolutely absurd. Your patient shouldn't have to be in tears before you do something to help control the pain. All of the nurses on this floor have been kind and helpful so I have no complaints there however, having to order my own food by 3:30 pm when I hadn't eaten since 6:30 the night before, just to be able to eat it as absolutely absurd. The patient also having to be in such bad pain that they're in tears is also ridiculous. I've had minimal issues with any department at OZH and I've been to a lot of them, the therapy department staff at the desk in the Shaw building absolutely could use some customer service training, but we can ignore that issue at the moment because it's not inpatient where patients are having to deal with them for prolonged periods of time. I can't say I'd never have another surgery here, because the nurses have been great, but I'd absolutely have to be prepared with my own food and pain meds.

He wanted a CT scan on one part of my body when I have major problems with other parts. I think he saw a cash cow no matter what is good for me. I didn't go back after the first time.

So very grateful to this clinic- I'm not from the area so I didn't have a primary care physician…read moreconsult with, so I stopped here for what I believed to be an infected bug bite on a Sunday. I waited for awhile which is normal for an urgent care especially since I wasn't experiencing any emergency symptoms and it was a Sunday where they have limited hours in a more rural area. The doctor saw me and had an immediate plan for action, awesome. Not so awesome was that they needed to drain a cyst on a very sensitive part of the body. She tries to tell me the litacain shot will hurt, but I truly I was not expecting how painful it would really be. The doctor lets me rest for a minute and then goes to grab a nurse to be in the room to hold my hand through the pain as they still had to give me more shots (she asked my permission first). TOTALLY unlike any experience I've had. I never knew I could be in so much pain from a shot that was supposed to numb me, but am so incredibly grateful to the doctor who brought in a nurse for support and for the nurse who sat with me. I did not get the doctors name, but Tamatha was the one who held my had through my tears and screams and she is an absolute angel. Before they began the shots again they let me call my mom who could not physically be there- the doctor explained what was going on to her for me since I couldn't speak through my pain and they were happy to leave her on speaker for me for the rest of the time I was there. I'm grateful for that because with the pain I was in I still don't remember a lot of what they said so my mom was able to be my ears and have an understanding of what was going on without physically being there. The nurse proceeded to stay right with me, held my hand and was very calming (even though I was in fact, absolutely hysterical). Both the doctor and nurse really went above and beyond to make me feel safe and as comfortable as possible. I felt very well cared for, one of the best places I've ever been in terms of bedside manner, especially in a painful and uncomfortable situation. The community is very lucky to have this place with this staff and I hope for their sake it continues. I certainly hope whoever runs this place realizes the staff they have is amazing and do everything they can to continue that way and keep these great doctors and nurses. BIG thank you to Tamatha and the doctor who's name I can't remember, your treatment has set my bar high for future care.
