There are Troc shops all over Belgium. If you're unfamiliar with them; they're just something like…read morea flea market. People bring in stuff that they don't want and its sold on consignment. You can find lots of interesting stuff here. Today we bought a very large mirror in a white frame which I thought was a bit over-priced, but my other half liked it, so what the hey. They have one section where you can buy brand spanking new mattresses. Wouldn't like to buy somebody elses, to be honest. There are loads of wardrobes here and most of them are pretty old and some have that old smell about them. There are also dressers, some desks and other pieces of living room furniture. You can find several dining room tables too. There is a section for used CDs and DVDs, as well as books. Funny, they have old worn out books and ask 5 Euro for them. This brings me to one point... I used to love this shop and a year or two ago would have given it another star or two but where once you got some great deals, it now seems pretty expensive for what they're selling. Mind you, you can find the occasional deals but they're now few and far between. They're interesting shops to look around and perhaps only this one has jacked up its prices 5 fold, but I doubt it.

This particular Zeeman store, and there are lots fo them around the country, is located just…read moreoutside Mons and down the road from SHAPE, the NATO base. What can I say... Zeeman is a dirt cheap store. The place has tons of clothes for children and adults alike. I must admit that the only clothing that I have ever bought here were socks but all the other stuff look OK, although I couldn't obviously vouch for the quality. They have some cheapo toys as well, including some stuff form the Cars movie by Disney. Really, inexpensive stuff to entertain the kids can be found here. There are also crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc, as well as some pretty nice note books. This is what I prefer - nice stuff for writing.

I think it was sometime last year that this branch of Media Mart opened up right downtown Mons on…read morethe pedestrian street. This place has everything you could want in the electronics department and everything else such as cameras, cell phones, every accessory you can think of - headphones, all type of wires for just about everything and so on. I needed a wire for my phone to hook it up to the computer to transfer photos and I couldn't find it in several stores that I looked it. It was here though! I noticed that they also sell books and discount DVDs, CDs and BluRays too. Love it here!

(Not sure what K and Wal- prices are like these days though.) We bought a kettle for just over 20 Euros. Good price! They sell DVDs and childrens clothing and shoes and boots and toys and clothes for adults and knick-nacks and probably anything you're looking for. If you need something and cannot find it or find it for a good price, go to this Trafic or any other you come across.

In the electronics section you can get PCs, laptops, cell phones, tvs, dvds, etc. And they have many to choose from, not just 3 or 4.
