During our afternoon of exploring Lüneburg, we popped in the first time to just take a look at the items sold there. There's a good selection of tea cups and various other tea related items. The seating area in the back was quite full since it's pretty small so we left, hoping to come back in a few hours to try some tea. We came back and there was less people so decided we'd order each a cup of tea. Their wall of teas was quite extensive, it was pretty hard to choose! I ended up going with a black tea with toffee in it. I believe the Mr. chose a chai. I let mine steep for too long, but it was still really good--so fragrant and warming. I did actually like Mr.'s a little more. If we're ever in Lüneburg again, I would definitely want to come back, maybe much earlier and try to get in for breakfast.

The Hanseatic brew was so subtle so fragrant it needs no cream, no sugar. I learned here tea is made wrongly by almost everyone. Milk and sugar is to disguise bad quality and ignorance of technique. Wow. Life changing. They don't kick people out but people stay the right length of time because no wifi, it is a place for true tea lovers. Clean toilet. Excellent cakes too, high quality, special rhubarb types. Clotted cream scones. Just perfection here. The Brits have nothing on the Hanseatics. Wow.

It's ok, the tea worth it. But it came as it was, just the tea. No sweets, no mochi, nothing. I mean, we enjoyed it a lot but if I'm paying 8€ for some tea it would be nice to get some "extra care". Anyway, the atmosphere was calm and friendly and it's really a perfect spot for enjoying a good book. They also have a decent choice of cake and sweets. I recommend it but only if you're ready to pay a lot for good tea. And just the tea.
