I check online before visiting to see if there is anything new and of interest; I always make it a point to stop and peruse several of their galleries whenever I am in Quebec's Old City. Some galleries specialize in Abstract Art , but most have a variety of Landscapes, City-Scapes, Still-Lifes, Portraits, Animals and Genre pieces. Prices range from the expensive to the not so expensive as does the quality but overall there is a distinct advantage as I believe their price to quality ratio is generally better than what I have found here in the states and when the exchange rate is as it is now there is a hugh price advantage. Service is always excellent; when a purchase is made and sent to the States all Canadian taxes are avoided. They will do up to12 installment payments without interest making it easier on your budget but in so doing you are at the monthly change rate for each transaction. I have always been satisfied with my experience at Beauchamp as well as my purchases and never tire of a visit to see what is new and emerging in the world of commercial art.

I spotted the hand-painted watches I had seen in another shop in Old Town. I was impressed that this shop had more selection. I found one with 2 cats (chats) that I absolutely adored but was not excited about the gray leather band. My husband thought the red band would be nice and so did I, so we asked the lady if it was possible to change it. Even though they were just getting ready to close on a Sunday, they were very accommodating and found a nice red leather band that really highlighted at artwork on the watch face. I never felt rushed, both ladies spoke English and were delightful, even asking to see photos of my kitties I had on my phone! True customer service. I highly recommend this shop and would return again if ever in Quebec City. Tell them the Cat Lady from Hawaii sent you!!!

It was formed by a cooperative of 10 artists as a platform to display their works and generate more color, beauty and fluidity in our sometimes fucked up world (the last six words are mine). I am not an avid art collector and there were a few things that caught even my eye, so there should be something in there that appeals to just about everyone out there. SO and I each are bringing something from the gallery back to NY. Check it out and support these artists here &/or wherever you reside!
