I had an absolutely delicious time at this wonderful Breton B&B (bed and breakfast). The owner makes the most delicious crêpes and brioches as well as homemade jams. We cycled through the windswept cliffs of Brittany to explore the remote sunny-but-chilly paradise that the Bretons call home. The owner is really funny and nice and it is very obvious she loves her native region. She makes everything by hand - the jams include all sorts of berries and a really luscious caramel spread.
After you sleep in huge beds for only 50-60 euros a night, you can load up on the calories in the morning and drink bowls of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and then cycle all over the place. To build the B&B, the owner restored the ancient home of the priest (it is right across from the cemetery.) She installed all the plumbing and heating (heating is a must in Brittany) and fought some locals who wanted to turn the beautiful old home into the Maire (the mayor's office). Definitely worth a cycling mini-break from Paris. read more
