Like most things, I definitely thought I would get a secretary on the phone, who would then take a message with my name and number & would make me make an appointment for information. I was MORE than pleasantly surprised. Mr. Callaway personally answered the phone, and after explaining my situation, without hesitation he told me exactly what I need to do. He is very professional, and provides phenomenal service. He doesn't beat around the bush- he is clearly very intelligent and straight to the point. HIGHLY recommend and will continue to do so!!! It's the Semmes Law Firm at his office in Foley, but they also have an office in Fairhope. Marc and the ladies here are very friendly, patient and make you feel welcome. But most importantly Marc himself is very personal, is a good listener and knows his stuff. He spent a lot of time with us, discussing our needs and what we wanted to accomplish with trusts, wills, powers of attorney, etc. always looking to the future and planning for most of the potential variables that would reflect us and eventuay our beneficiaries. The time spent was very gracious, he answered every one of our questions, made some excellent recommendations, and the cost overall was very fair, indeed less than anticipated. We are very pleased with the outcome. Bottom line: For a smart personar guy that really listens to your situation and has answers, I highly recommend Semmes Law Firm and Marc Semmes. https://semmeslaw.com/ Important note: all of the GPS apps including Google maps will not bring you to the correct address for this office. It brings you to a completely different Street quite a ways from where the office is actually located. To get here you would go east on highway 98 off of highway 59 and go just passed the Chinese restaurant and look for the office on the right in a white brick plaza.

From my first meeting…read morewhen I came in to inquire about establishing a family trust, everything was explained in a clear, thoughtful and easy to understand way. I initially met with Brenton Mc Williams who walked me through the different options for structuring my trust. He used flow charts and detailed explanations to ensure I understood the process. He explained that the process would take place over three meetings, helped set clear explanations from the start. My second meeting was with attorney Brent Helms who guided me through the nuts and bolts of the trust. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain what additional information I would need to gather. His thoroughness made what could have been an overwhelming step seem manageable. My final meeting was with attorney Brenda Kouvarakis, who was outstanding. She brought everything together seamlessly and made sure every detail was in place. I truly felt that she cared about getting everything right for me. Overall, this firm made what can be a complex process feel straightforward and well supported. I highly recommend them to any considering estate planning services. Their services are very reasonable compared to others I have checked (3).

She spent the first 5 to 10 minutes talking about the Spanish Fort office closing instead of my trust. None of my questions were answered. She kept telling me she would let me know in the next meeting. I was charged $700 for a short "trust review" but received no written advice or findings. During the meeting, I noticed a person named **** listed as an executor, someone I've never heard of. When I asked, she said she didn't know why it was there. After I questioned the charge the next day, the firm sent a new version of that document with the name removed, which raises serious concerns about professionalism. Their written response also misrepresented what happened. I left the meeting feeling completely taken advantage of.
