I saw a sign that said Public Parking but without any rate or information at all. When I headed to the entrance, it was a steep underground garage entrance, theres a ticket machine but it was too late by the time I got the ticket and saw the rate of $25. There was no way to back out as the entrance was steep and narrow. Thinking back, I should have tried backing out instead. Their rate is $20 for Mon-Thur and $25 for Fri - Sun. They do not charge by the hour. I give them one star for the availability of the parking, but no stars for the lack of posted rates. Try look for parking if you can. Only park here if you absolutely have to. A nearby valet charged $15 and $2/hour. ACE is a joke.

An elevator can take you directly from the parking to the Prospect Street. The cost of parking is a whopping $35 for a day - no hourly fees. The machine is located at the entrance, frequently does not take credit cards and cannot give change - be ready to use the exact amount in paper money. Generally, you need to get the parking ticket first, and then proceed; if you park first, you might want to leave one person from your party with the car so they can warn the attendant, otherwise the car can be cited while you are struggling with the machine (allow 10 minutes for that, you will need to know your license plate number). The parking spots are tiny and inconvenient to get into and out of. Some of them are labeled "compact car only" - they mean it here! Generally, try to park elsewhere first (in particular, valets on the Prospect St will cost only $15 for 3 hours). This place is recommended in two cases: (i) you've circled the blocks and cannot find any spot, (ii) you dislike hustle and came to La Jolla for a really loooong beach walk. .

The whole area just has a comfortable vibe to it compared to a lot of other malls. Parking has honestly never been too difficult for me either. Upon entering, you're handed a cheerful little ticket promising a free first hour--how generous! What they don't tell you is that you'll spend roughly two-thirds of that hour trapped in a slow-moving purgatory just trying to escape. You've got about 20 blissful minutes to enjoy yourself before trying to join the line of cars that moves slower than a sloth on melatonin. I genuinely cannot tell if the exit gates are malfunctioning, cursed, or if the drivers ahead of me were participating in some sort of cognitive endurance experiment. Multiple cars took a baffling 4-5 minutes each at the gate--an interaction that should take about 10 seconds unless you're attempting to solve a Rubik's cube while blindfolded. By the time I escaped, I had aged another decade. I will absolutely never return to this parking lot. Bring a helicopter. Hope this helps.

We parked on the 3rd level and had to walk back up along where the cars drive! We couldn't use stairs either because doors were locked! This was an unbelievable awful experience and left a very bad taste after we had a lovely lunch in the area. Please! Don't use this awful garage! Find a street parking! Walk a little thru a beautiful neighborhood instead of walking on a car ramp. Horrible place!!!!
