This appears to be a small operation, a husband and wife team. He makes the business arraignments and they both perform the work. The owner/operator is a lovely man who is soft spoken. But he is a master of the weed-eater. They make short work for my 1/4 acre. And it's good work too. I started small, had them do just a portion of my yard. I didn't know if I could afford to have the whole thing done, but their rates are very fair. Recently, I had them rehab my entire yard. This was mowing, including a steep hill, weeding the flower beds and cleaning up all the debris from the trees getting ready to hibernate from the heat and lack of water. It took them a bit, 2 1/2 hours, but man that was a lot of work, done well. It would have taken me a week. If you are in the Salem Oregon area and are looking for a regular care team, or just need to catch up, call these folks up. They will definitely be worth the call.

Everyone was professional, personable, attentive to our requirements and respectful of our property. The work was reasonably priced for fine quality. It's always difficult to know when looking to hire a small local company whether you will get what you are hoping for but we would recommend Chris and Nature Bros to anyone. It's hard to test a gutter system when it stops raining for months, which it did this year. When it finally rained, we found a few leaks and a persistent overflow problem. Tom came out and looked it over, diagnosed the problem as a drain (that we didn't know existed) being plugged. He hand excavated the area, found the drain buried beneath rocks and dirt, and worked on that drain in pouring rain for several hours. Finally he found the clog and cleared it. He didn't have to do that. The drain was not a gutter problem, but he chose to fix the issue in the worst of conditions. I cannot recommend him or the company highly enough. Service over and above!

Even if you already have another roofer in mind, it's absolutely worth your time to get a quote from Moon Roofing for comparison. In April 2025, our offer on a house in South Salem was accepted. During the inspection, it was clear the roof needed to be replaced. Our real estate agent referred us to a roofer he knew, but I wanted a second opinion. After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to reach out to Moon Roofing. From my first call, the experience was impressive. Ariana answered the phone right away. I explained our situation and the urgency, and she promised to follow up within a couple of hours. Less than an hour later, she let me know that Armando would be stopping by that evening to inspect the roof, and that I'd have a quote the next day. Sure enough, the quote arrived early the next morning. The roofer referred by our agent also came out and provided a quote. Both companies quoted the same product (IKO Dynasty), and their prices were competitive with each other. After we closed in June, we asked both companies to re-quote the project using a higher-end material--Malarkey Windsor architectural shingles. Moon Roofing's updated quote was less than the other roofer's updated quote. The Malarkey shingles were special order and had about a two-week lead time. Armando managed to get the product in and installed just under that timeframe. He also replaced sixteen sheets of plywood and installed a new skylight, all for a very reasonable additional cost. We are thrilled with the final result and so glad we chose Moon Roofing. The quality, service, and value exceeded our expectations.
