First off I want to say that im not perfect, I was diagnosed with both autism and adhd at an adult…read moreage after spending 30 years of my life wondering what was wrong with me. I am prone to make mistakes and over the past year ive been trying to find the right medication to be able to function how I see many other people are able to. Having said that, through out this past year I have been more susceptible to making mistakes because ive had plenty of medication changes that were definitely not the right fit. 1 time this year I submitted a preorder through some site, it stated on their site, this is a preorder, we do not submit payment at this time but we do submit something making sure your payment card is active. I didnt quite have the money in the account for that but because it wasnt a real charge I thought okay, I can submit this. It wont be any problem. Well I forget about it for a day and make a couple payments on other things that would have been covered by what i had in the account, I finally log back into my account and see i have multiple overdraft charges yet there is no reason for one. There is no charge on my account that overdrafted me yet somehow I have multiple overdrafts. I contact advia and they tell me there was a pending charge but it went away and they will correct those fees. Somepoint later or maybe even before I see that my check is pending in my account its close to midnight and almost all the times I pay for anything, those pending payments are in there for multiple days at times so I figure okay I can make a payment on these bills now. Its going to be pending for a couple days, here in 6 hours this money will land in my account, its not like this charge is going to go through immediately because they never do. Well I wake up in the morning and turns out i was right, they didnt go through right away, yet here I am with multiple overdraft fees again. I call explain the situation and they fix those fees. Soon after I think to myself, I need to to turn off this this ability to overdraft, I call advia, they tell me ive successfully turned off the ability to overdraft. They tell me to be careful though because if I were to use my actual bank account as opposed to to my debit card. I will still be charged a fee. I say okay thats fine ill be careful with that. Well couple weeks go by, I know my money's running low, but I know not to go out and buy anything so I dont. I know I have Spotify but ive had them tell me before my payment didnt go through when I had a different payment method so im not worried about that, they same with PayPal pay in 4. If I dont have money on a card I get a notification saying your payment did not go through please use a payment method that has money on it. So im not worried about that either. I spend the week not looking at my account because I know I dont have money in it and as I was told I turned off the ability to overdraft. Well finally I look at my account when I get paid and I see 2 ach transactions that went through. I was warned about this so thats my fault. I take that on the chin. But I continue scrolling okay theres a paypal pay in 4 that went through, theres a 28 dollar fee. Spotify 28 dollar fee, paypal 28 dollar fee. I think what the heck is going on I turned this off. I contact advia I say something must have happened where it got turned back on. She says yes idk what happened but it does look like it got turned back on. My apologies ill reverse those fees. I say thats really weird because a little while back I was getting charged 2.50 a month because I was getting statements mailed to me. I contacted you guys turned that off and then saw I was continuing to get those fees. Apparently that time it either never got turned off or it got turned back on somehow. She said thats weird im sorry this is an ongoing issue. Well thats the end of that conversation. I go check my bank account and less than half of those fees are reversed, I call back and speak to someone and explain this exact situation he says we have already reversed multiple fees for you this year we are not reversing any more. I say listen you guys already admitted this was your mistake, 2 more fees need to be reversed, im not concerned about the ach ones, those were my fault. I just want the ones that were taking due to this error to be fixed. He says no I say please let me speak to a manager. He connects me to letisia huerta. Letisia starts feeding me a bunch of word salad saying I dont know who you talked to before but it wasnt me and when you signed up for Spotify you made an agreement with them so it can still be taken out when you dont have money in the account. Well thats not true, I know its not because ive been told my payment didnt go through before, she says something similar for paypal. I know thats also not true because again ive been told my payments didnt go through because I had insufficient funds before. Here it is christmas time im obviously struggling, im doing everything
