People were pouring into the office. I understand that they have multiple doctors there, but they DID NOT take patients on time. A couple that was their for their 8:30 appt, with a different doctor than mine, did not get taken till 9:05!!! Anywho, I didn't get called to the back until 9:25!!! WTF!! I could've waited till later to leave my house & miss all the freaking school traffic!! Then, the nurse who called me to the back was so RUDE!! I said good morning & got shit in return. She never smiled. Just went about asking all the routine questions. I got confused on 1 question & her tone of voice when she questioned me about it was so damn rude!! Finally, the bitch left & Dr. Politz came in. No apology for being so late, but she was an absolute sweetheart!! Took her time with me. Listened to my concerns, explained what Procdure she was going to do that day, & explained how she would proceed in the future. She went over the meds she would have me try. We went over meds that didn't work for me & didn't try selling me on those particular meds. That hasn't happened, with a doctor, in awhile. She was 1of the best doctor's I ever had!! Just wish wait times & nurse would change.

I was only going in for an annual checkup, so I hadn't had any extensive experiences with them until my pregnancy. Because of complications, I was having ultrasounds more often. I waited 2-3 HOURS every single visit because there is no ultrasound technician, so you have to wait on the doctor for each one. My last straw was when I had been waiting for two hours and waitr walked in delivering their lunch. I waited another hour for them to eat and then I was finally called in. When I confronted her, she said sometimes their schedule is pushed back if they are running to the hospital to deliver a baby. Remember, I live directly across the street, so I know what vehicle she drives and it never leaves during my appointments. The lobby is stressful and unruly, but they close their reception window and aren't bothered by any of it. They made my first trimester a terrible experience. I've obviously switched doctors since.

I've had 3 separate cancers over a period of 36 years. I've been treated at Lady Bird Perkins in Houma, Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge, and Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center in Thibodaux. I've received great treatment at all 3 places, but none beats Thibodaux! Even the staff is compassionate and helpful. They treat me like royalty (LOL). They deserve and get my highest rating... Ok cool I understand that. The second one was scheduled today at 10am. They left a message yesterday saying my appointment was for 10am. While I'm driving over at 9:30am I get a call saying I missed my 8:45am appointment. I was 5 minutes away and wanted to play the missed message. They blamed the Thibodaux store said they can't honor it and I can wait a couple hours for an opening. Bottom line is they probably gave my 10am to one of their repeat customers or buddies and the person didn't want to deal with new customer paperwork. Do not waste your time. My wife loves the Thibodaux office, but both myself and my wife's mom had issues with Houma. My wife asked if she wanted to try to get me in at Thibodaux I told her no. They lost my business. All I need is new glasses and it has been almost 2 months dealing with this.

The staff throughout all departments have been nothing but amazing for her. I recently had my own stay where I learned I had a dangerous level of deficiencies and the staff was quick to jump in to take care of me. During my stay I had two incredible nurses, Ashley Thibodeaux and Carolyn Brown, who each went out of their way multiple times to make sure I was cared for and comfortable. When I got uncomfortably warm, Ms Ashley found me a change of room that was much cooler which also accommodated my at the time roommate who would not be comfortable with the air turned down in the original room. The next day I had the pleasure of meeting Ms Carolyn who was very accommodating of my severe needle phobia and was extremely gentle every time she had to work with my IV. She was gentle and also did her diligence in timing every flush inbetween was correct to ensure my IV was prepped properly before the next connection/infusion. I'm only giving 4 stars because the food could have been prepared better, my noodle dishes were overcooked and soggy so they were inedible. But the fruit cups and sandwiches were otherwise amazing. I will always choose Chabert over TGMC for their overall care for patients as well as having a staff that truly goes above and beyond to make an awful time period comfortable, but also felt seen and heard
