Part of what is currently the largest hotel chain in the UK, this particular location meets the chain's standards (clean, reasonably sized rooms, with the budget chain's normal but perplexing lack of doors for wardrobes!), and exceeds it in one very unusual respect for the UK - it has air conditioning.
It is well located (virtually next to railway station, easy walk to city centre), and does offer its own restaurant, although there are plenty of alternatives in city centre (in particular in The Lanes and Highcross areas).
It has secure underground parking, but its free allocation is on first come, first served basis, so remember to carry some pound coins in case you have to pay (£6 as of January 2012). read more
