Wow, I thought the refinance process was horrid- 1. A…read moresurprise $2,000 in additional closing costs 2. The refinance took 6 months 3. They were incredibly unresponsive, didn't reply to emails, phone calls, etc. But this takes the cake! They sold my mortgage to Fifth Third Bank in July of 2021 and never told me. I have the mortgage payments on autopay, every month, and we are never late with anything. Fifth Third sent me a bill with a past due amount, and I thought it was a scam. I logged onto my "The Money Source" bank which is what Draper and Kramer used to hold my mortgage, and they were still accepting my money. After calling Fifth Third Bank, they confirmed that The Money Source transferred the loan to them, sent our payment for July to them, and they now have the loan. There was no communication, no letter in the mail that they are legally obligated to send. But that's just what I've come to expect from Draper and Kramer. Stay far, far away from this company. I don't know what happened, they used to be great, and perhaps it is a broker by broker experience. My last experience, however, was foul.
