Even though 3 lenders got me pre-approved based on my score and a cursory look at my credit report, they each came back after having put contracts on properties to tell me they could not close the deal. I was very discouraged (and pissed too) but a friend advised that I try Becky. I am so glad I did. I GRILLED her because I did not want to be disappointed again and the entire way through the process she was professional, thorough, understanding & patient. What I appreciated the most was that she was TENACIOUS!! Becky had to FIGHT for me with 42 different lenders to make sure they were aware of the various exceptions and codes that needed to employed to finance my loan. I am so grateful for her I can sing from the mountain tops. I know I would not be a new homeowner without her. I also appreciated her patience. I have purchased homes before with other lenders and I have NEVER had the representative take the time and care she did to explain EVERY SINGLE detail and option that was available to me. We had at least 2 but maybe three 1 hour conversations where she explained loan rates, my application, and everything in between!! She answered every question I had with great expertise.

We started the process intending to…read moretake things slow, but quickly found our ideal home within days of securing our realtor and needed preapproval fast. As veterans, we initially pursued a preapproval through USAA, but unfortunately didn't receive the level of follow-up we expected. Our realtor recommended a few lenders, and Brendon immediately stood out. Not only was he quick to act, but he was personable and genuinely invested in helping us from the very beginning. As first-time homebuyers, we had a lot of questions, and no question ever felt too small. He took the time to walk us through everything in detail, whether it was a quick 10-minute call or a longer conversation. He was incredibly responsive (often replying within hours) and set clear expectations throughout the process. As veterans, it meant a lot to work with someone who truly understood the VA loan process and could guide us confidently. One thing that really stood out was how he supported us when we submitted our offer. He personally connected with the seller's side to vouch for our financing and strengthen our offer. We truly believe that level of advocacy helped solidify our offer being accepted. The transition between Brendon and Josh on the Neighborhood Loans team was seamless, and both of them checked in regularly to make sure we felt informed and supported. Their level of service made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and manageable from start to finish, and we were able to close on time without any surprises. Bonus points for the handwritten notes, thoughtful closing gift, and the personal touches throughouht. They truly made the experience memorable. We would recommend Brendon and his team to anyone, especially first-time homebuyers, without hesitation.

We have had to push the closing date five times, which caused undue stress, financial strain, and sleepless nights. We financially bled because of his doing (staying at an extended stay is not cheap. We basically paid three mortgages in the month of January). Whether it is done with good intentions to help buy time for the Buyer to straighten his/her financial health out or to build more funds, we feel that he intentionally delayed the appraisal and providing additional documents to underwriting. What concerns us is that he may be pushing a sub-par Borrower through underwriting at the expense of the home seller. Namely, us. Why else would he delay paperwork to the underwriter once the appraisal is complete or provide vague reasons as to why the process is delayed
