I highly recommend anyone who's looking for a new dentist to visit preferred dental. Walking through the main entrance you will feel welcomed. From their front desk staff, hygienist and assistant you won't have to worry about great Customer service. The new facility is decorated nicely and is well maintenance. My last visit with preferred dental was October 7th for a deep cleaning and my hygienist Lauren and assistant Rashane took good care of me making sure I was comfortable through out the entirety of my visits and also giving me great tips and advice to better my teeth health. I recently had the misfortune of visiting Preferred Dental. From start to finish, their unethical practices and deceptive behavior left me feeling scammed and taken advantage of. It was clear that profit was their sole motivation. When asked the first question, "What is your occupation?" I felt confused and uncomfortable. Afterwards, they strongly suggested out-of-pocket procedures which I later discovered were unnecessary and just meant as a money grab. Once I received my bill which the secretary agreed made absolutely no sense we called Dr. Armine Grigoryan who confirmed the bill was correct but refused to explain the fees. I was told they don't give itemized receipts and if I didn't pay the outrageous bill IN FULL they couldn't schedule my next appointment. This practice is not only highly unethical but also goes against the policies provided by my insurance company. Unfortunately, due to the extreme pain I was experiencing and desperate circumstances I felt obligated to just pay the bill. It's evident they prey on unsuspecting patients for financial gain. To make matters worse, I returned to Preferred Dental after the advice of a reputable dentist to request my money back. During this visit, Dr. Manveen Sahni proceeded to tell me as I was leaving that I have gum disease and it requires immediate attention. This was a shock to me because this was the first time this issue was brought to my attention. When I asked why wasn't I told this during my initial appointment she stated she didn't have time to tell me and that they were focusing on addressing my main problem. Turns out this is just another scare tactic they practice. (I don't have gum disease) I attempted several phone calls to contact Dr. Armine Grigoryan to address my concerns, only to be put on endless holds with no answer. It's disheartening to think that a place that should prioritize the well-being of its patients would stoop so low to deceive and exploit them. I strongly advise anyone seeking dental care to steer clear of Preferred Dental. Their unethical practices and blatant scamming make them a prime example of what a dental office should not be. Spare yourself the anguish and find a trustworthy dental office that values your health and trust above all else. read more

I would go so far as to say that I love the staff at Preferred Dental. I've gone in three times; initially for an emergency tooth repair, then for an Invisalign consultation, and the other day for a tooth extraction. The entire staff is so friendly, welcoming, and makes me feel extra comfortable. I've never had a experience like this at other offices. I've always dreaded the dentist, but somehow look forward to each appointment I have here. A note on the extraction -- I was previously referred to an oral surgeon, and was told it was going to be in invasive surgery with anesthesia involved and high risks and was given a quote of $800. I recommend this practice without any reservations. I have known Dr. Armine Grigoryan, Dr. Ovsanna Grigoryan, and Dr. Wu for many years. From day one, the doctors and their office staff made me and my family feel welcome. They are a highly professional and detail-oriented group. While requiring different approaches per each one of the family members (due to age and health situation), the doctors were able to accommodate us and ultimately provide the highest level of consultation and treatment needed for my family. In addition to excellent service, they volunteered to work and collaborate with others outside of their practice doctors to achieve the highest possible care for their patients. Initially I was excited to finally find the dental service that seemed to care for their patients. The service turned out to be good but not extraordinary. The surprise came when I was hit with a balance of almost $800 after I payed over a $1,000. Fir the services which what was quoted in writing to me. The rest was covered by the insurance according to their finance department. Apparently "there was a misunderstanding" with the insurance company and now I stuck with almost $1,000 on top of what I was quoted. Just a word of caution! read more

I shamefully don't take good enough care of my teeth and hadn't been to the dentist in about two years.. I chose to have dental insurance (BlueCross Blueshield Blue Dental) through my employer so that I would be forced to visit the dentist this year. Going through my insurance's website I was faced with many options, something like 250 dentists in a 5 mile radius. I am bad with decisions but I got lucky with this one! Everyone at Preferred Dental is pleasant and professional. I had to get 4 cavities filled and Dr. G (nickname) did a wonderful job! I have a detailed history of getting cavities filled so you can trust me. She took her time and was laser focused even though I was the last appointment of the day. Usually it feels odd biting down after a filling and takes a while to get used to (my least favorite part) but this was not the case with Dr. G. Looking forward to my next cleaning. PS I believe her mom was/is also a dentist so the skill clearly runs in blood! read more

I didn't actually get any work done as they didnt take my insurance. But I went in as a dental emergency and was so upset that I couldnt be seen. The two woman at the front desk were so helpful. They contacted my insurance company, found out which dentist office I needed to go to, called that office and got me an appointment the same night. I was in so much pain and had a terrible infection! I couldnt ask for better customer service, kindness and understanding. If I could I would stay with this office. Thank you again! read more

The dentists and ONLY the dentists are truly wonderful human beings who are so talented at their craft. For me however, I need the entire experience to be excellent, especially concerning my health, if I'm to stay with a practice and give it a strong review. Dr. Armine Grigoryan is fantastic. She did a thorough exam and then decided that two teeth looked suspicious with fractures. She sent me to an endodontist to see if a root canal was in order, it was not. I returned to her to have both teeth pulled....ouch ! Great Saturday hours and office staff is very friendly. She thoroughly numbed both areas.She pulled both teeth on the same visit. Healed in about a week, very attentive dentist, she called to check on me on Monday following the visit. My wife was apprehensive of this new, young dentist but she knows her stuff and has a wonderful demeanor. read more

I've been with Preferred Dental for a couple of years now. Haven't gotten more than a cleaning. Recently, I am very unhappy with the way they handled things. I was scheduled for a teeth cleaning on Monday, but had to cancel the appointment because I was very sick. Called Friday to cancel the appointment, but they did not pick up, so left a voicemail. Was kind and courteous to call the morning of my appointment to let them know that I left a voicemail to cancel the appointment. Fast forward to two months later...I get a bill in the mail for $50. I call to inquire about the charges. They said that I owed them $50 because "I missed my appointment". I explained to them that I did not miss my appointment and that I did call to cancel. They said it was not "24 hours in advance" and that they do not count the weekends. I am very disappointed with the lack of communication. They could have told me when I had phoned in that there was a charge for "missed appointments". It's not like I was getting a "serious procedure" done. I guess they just wanted me to come in sick. No other dentists that I have had prior to this practice have charged for cancelling appointments. Ridiculous! I am considering leaving this practice. read more

I'm not sure that anyone likes going to the dentist however, the preferred dental staff is so friendly and accommodating that you actually fine yourself looking forward to seeing them again. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of ONE of the staff members, which I'll discuss next. However, Dr. Armine Grigoryan was wonderful and I have no complaints about her. If you are a person that needs silence while you're going through a procedure though, this isn't the place for you as the talking was nonstop. It's a happy place. All but one of the staff members are very nice and Natalie is a wonderful receptionist as well. My son was scheduled the same day I was scheduled for fillings, for an ortho consultation. When I was done with my appt, he had still not been seen. In addition, he had just been handed paperwork to complete that required my signature upon completion of my visit, which was 30 minutes AFTER his scheduled appt. Now why this wasn't presented to me upon arrival, I'm not sure, but we were the first clients to arrive at the office and at this point, the ortho was seeing someone else and the rude assistant, had the nerve to have an attitude about me asking questions, as if people schedule appts to sit around for the convenience of others. I wish I had gotten her name, but SHE is the reason they didn't get 5 stars. While I was being worked on, she kept coming back into the room & talking to Dr. Armine and the assistant that was working on me in the back about nothing important, when clearly she should have been focused on work that needed to be done in the front. read more
