This was our favorite meal in Sardinia, and really an amazing experience from start to finish. They start by bringing you away from your table and toward the fire pit, where they have some amazing meats, cheeses, and breads out. (Definitely make sure to make some melted cheese pita sandwiches -- incredible.) Sardinia has amazing cold cuts everywhere, and these were some of our absolute favorites.
Then they bring you back to your table to start the sitdown meal, which begins with two pastas: noodles in a ricotta sauce with porcini mushrooms, and ravioli with tomato sauce. The former was probably our favorite pasta from our entire time in Sardinia, and the latter was maybe the best version of that dish that we had.
Then came the roasted pig with potatoes, which was great, but there actually were a couple others on our trip that we preferred.
Overall, an amazing night, with incredibly friendly hosts (even though nobody spoke English) and world-class food. read more
