Just finished getting powder brows by Rachel. It was such a great experience. First off, she has loads of experience. Don't let the lack of reviews on here fool you, she recently rebranded and the mass reviews she had got erased somehow and didn't transfer over (but the pictures did). She is a talented artist. I have had my brows tattooed, microbladed, and then tattooed again over the last 10 years, and now trying powder brows for the first time. Rachel responded quickly to my questions and was able to accommodate my schedule. Her pricing is very reasonable considering how much others charge for the same services (after having mine done I think she is actually under charging for the service she is providing). You begin with 30min of numbing cream and sign your consent forms online if you had not already done so via the text you receive. The waiting area nice and I was greeted by a sweet receptionist. After numbing, Rachel goes over the shape and color with you and then begins the predraw. This must be a new version of numbing cream because this is the first time I didn't feel anything (maybe it's gotten better/stronger over the years?). Powder brows is done using an actual machine and not a blade like microblading so in my opinion it's much better and more consistent. She color corrected my existing brow tattoo first (and didn't charge me extra like others would) to remove the ash color my brows had turned from over the years. She really takes her time to make sure you are happy while she works her magic and that is #1 important. I have had my brows done by another artist that is ranked pretty high on yelp and is actually one of the main teachers however they weren't even close to how attentive Rachel was. She actually cares about you being happy and wants to make sure you not only feel valued but you feel like a million bucks when your session is complete. The goal is to enhance your natural features and she does this at an incredible value. I plan to go back to have lip blushing done and then plan to have a touch up done once my brows heal. Rachel's work is impeccable! I have been getting permanent makeup for years, and had given up on my brows based on previous tries with other technicians that lead to the ink discoloring and not taking in areas. As an African American woman it is difficult to find someone well versed on our skin and the tones of ink (ink mixtures are a must) that work best. I really wanted to get my brows done because since the age of 16 they have been so thin. The original person I was going to go to, cancelled on me 3 times!!! So I had to find another person, well THANK GOD I FOUND RACHEL!! She was able to get me in the very next day after I called her. I was very nervous to get powder brows done because I was so use to filling in my thin brows. Rachel took the time to explain everything to me and why she recommended powder brows over microblading for my skin type. The process did not hurt and she was very attentive and made sure she listened to how I wanted them done. I really decided to go bold because I am sort of a "plain jane" sometimes and since I am pushing 40, I wanted to step out and try something different.
