When he was just one year old, the daily struggle of getting him ready and dealing with the rigid schedules of mainstream daycare centers like KinderCare was exhausting for both of us. He was unhappy, and so was I--until I found Rainbow Children's Center In-Home. From the moment we joined, Taran created an amazing, nurturing home environment. She understood the realities of being a working parent and allowed me to bring my son in his pajamas when he was too sleepy in the mornings. The extra love, patience, and dedication she provided were more than just childcare--they were family. To this day, I still call her my "baby daddy" because of the incredible role she played in our lives. Now, my son is 13, and our families have grown together. Taran continues to be a part of his life, always providing a safe and loving space. Any parent would be truly lucky to have their child in her care. Unlike mainstream daycare centers, which often feel impersonal and unreliable, Rainbow Children's Center In-Home ensures that every child feels secure, happy, and cared for. My best advice to any parent searching for childcare: Pay attention to how your child feels when you pick them up. If they are smiling and relaxed, you know you've found the right place. Without a doubt, Rainbow Children's Center In-Home is the best childcare in Lake Ridge, Virginia. We love Tay Tay and will always be grateful for the love and support she has given our family!

I have never felt more comfortable and at ease than I was at Chesterbrook. The staffs are super caring, comforting, loving and KIND. They really care for your child and your family. The families attending are friendly. The classes are the perfect size and all the kids seem to Love being there. Not once have I ever seen a child sad or unhappy there. My son was in Ms. Melanie's class. All I have to say is that not only was he happy to see her face every day - I also felt happy to see her smile! She is a wonderful, kind, loving, nurturing mother/teacher. My son adored her and LOVED being in her class. Ms. Melanie makes all her students feel like her own child. We moved to Alexandria and transferred to another Chesterbrook. If the commute wasn't so long - we would have stayed with Ms. Melanie and asked her to "move up" with my son every 6 months! All the staff are beautiful people. They all made me feel super confident about leaving my son there. This was my first day care and experience with leaving my child anywhere. They helped me though it! I was/ am going through a divorce and the whole school has been supportive and caring. They give wonderful advice and comfort to new moms like me. Again, I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff at Chesterbrook are. They care about everyone who walks through that door and treat everyone like family.

My husband and I were not only worried about the transition to a new state, but also transitioning our little one from a new daycare program. Luckily, those worries were quickly remedied when we saw the love and compassion the Chesterbrook leadership and staff have for the children. My daughter absolutely loves her teachers and the leaders there - Kristen, Lina, Venice, Nai'Kaila and Abhi have made her feel loved, special and safe every single day. Even more, she has come so far from an education and social standpoint. At 3 yrs old she is funny and confident, knows her ABCs, can count from 1-30 in English and Spanish, her shapes and so much more. I will never be able to thank these wonderful people enough!!!

Lake Ridge Kindercare has been our FIRST daycare experience as FIRST-TIME parents, and I am so…read moregrateful we found such a quality experience for our son ("B") only a few minutes from home. We enrolled him in the infant room at 8 months, and I had the common new-mom tears and fears. The Kindercare team immediately put any concerns at ease, from the center directors Patricia and Janelle who so kindly encouraged me through the first morning drop-off, to the team who was so attentive to rocking, feeding, and playing with my son (and even getting him to nap in a new place!) We love the pictures and updates we get on the Kindercare app of what B is up to during the day. B is now in the the toddler classroom and has celebrated milestones like walking, an expanding vocabulary, social skills, and at 18 months is already identifying letters and numbers. But the best review is the giant smile B has when he sees his teachers at drop-off! We unfortunately are moving out of the area soon so we'll have to say good-bye to this wonderful team, but that means there's an open position for anyone looking for a daycare center where their baby will thrive. :) We love you Ms. Dana, Ms. Norma, Ms. Devi, Ms. Kavania, Ms. Marisol, Ms. Julia, Ms. Indrani, and Ms. Karima!

This was a great school, with great teachers. Unfortunately, COVID interrupted the flow. But at…read moresome point I have to say, fortunately interrupted the flow. There were several instances where it seemed the director at the time deliberately added to what I owed to the invoice because when I asked her about it, there would be no response. I have no problem paying, but you have to explain why $300.00 was added to the invoice. It wouldn't bother me, but that's like someone trying to get you out of character when you're just trying to support your child. There's very little leeway, and that's inappropriate. The Philadelphia Insurance contract I signed a few months after my child started was a bit strange. I looked up the company, and they literally had pedophilia insurance. I signed with caution. I'm not sure if I'm the only one who ever signed this or ever looked the company up because that is a major, blaring alarm. His teacher was excellent, but she hinted at a few things that were strange. Like, "They take money out of my check for the baby next door." She also talked about vomiting next to the director's desk. A few other things. She obviously put her all into teaching, so I thought it was end-of-day stress, and the director tried to get quite a few people out of character when they're not there for that. I don't know! I don't know y'all. My child did well, but it was quite bizarre and frustrating. I got way out of character, called "unprofessional" when I called the school. I tried to keep it about the bill, TRYING to forget everything else. I even went to the school, asked about the bill. She said she would send a link, and never sent it. I had a relative call and ask about the bill, she discussed it with him, said she would send a link after their 30 minute conversation, and did not send it. I found it a little disrespectful. I managed to get it rectified after ownership was transferred. At this point I'm not sure if the agreed upon amount had a horrible catch, or if it was from a sincere place.
