This park provides a little island of shared community space in the midst of the castle style walls of Jardins mansions. The benches and trees interwoven by a little path are quite sweet and enjoyable for taking a break on a stroll or a run through the neighborhood. The rest of the park elements feel rather random - a giant statue in homage to the park's namesake, a set of rusted rings and bars for adults to hang from and a tiny play structure for kids. All are nice but in the small space of the park each feels incomplete. Unfortunately (and quite oddly given the amount of security patrolling the neighborhood) I've seen vagrants camped out there various times. There are parking spaces surrounding the park, but I've never seen them too empty. On weekends the nearby church is packed with weddings and Services, so parking in the area can be quite tough. Not a destination in and of itself but not a bad spot to checkout if you're nearby. read more
