It's very crowded and there is low music, but believe me you are going to enjoy it till the last moment . The water is a bit dirtier than other beaches of Buzios ... Good thing about this beck is that you can rent paddle boards for a very accessible price !!! I really enjoyed !! Going back tomorrow morning before to take my flight back home .

The nice thing is you don't have to bring your own gear. There are 1-2 beach kiosks that will rent boards and even give you an instructor if you're a beginner. The waves are varied so it's great for all levels of surfers. There are a few other spots where you can order some juices, beers, and grab a small bite. Although Fishbone was closed when we went, apparently they have some pretty epic sunset and nightly parties (specifically during the summer months).

There is also a good selection of bars and beach stands selling caipirinhas and food at reasonable prizes compared to the other beaches at Buzios. The surf is good, I'd say only Praira Brava has better surf in Buzios, but Brava is basically a sanctuary and you'll have to drive or walk to northeast end of Buzios. As another reviewer mentioned Praira Geribá is not close to "el centro" (Rua das Pedras) but it is accessible via taxi, it costs around 25 reals for a taxi ride to get from center to Geribá. There is also a a nice coffee shop near by on Rua Gravatas and a good Acai spot (called Acai Point), I recommend both. I will definitely come back to Praia Geribá obrigado por ler, Art

Check out the old couple with the pizza cart - amazing, cheap, friendly, yummy. The sand is beautiful and white and clean, the water freezing and lovely. Not very crowded, perfect for a morning run, ideal for sunsets. The restaurants along the beach are pretty....terrible lol. Typical Brazilian fare, beachfront prices, some live music/tvs. Not a super busy place at nice. But a lovely vacation.

You can find this area right in the middle of Ipanema and copacabana beach. Honestly if you're a sunset person Ipanema and Praia so Arpoador is where you need to be because the buildings on copacabana beach will disappoint you. Don't worry about bringing a cooler filled with drinks because you can find sellers up along the rocks. Although, I would recommend bringing a towel to sit on for sure and maybe a radio with tunes of your choice. This could legit be a perfect area to take your date and guess what? It's free! So definitely add this to your itinerary whenever you're in Rio de Janeiro .

However, the Arpoador rock formation is the reason to stop by. Climb to the edge of this rock and you will get amazing views of the sunset or sunrise. It's a great place to just sit and relax.

The most annoying thing here is all the vendors constantly coming around a little hard to relax U can grab anything from drinks, we tried one not terrible just too sweet for my taste. Food & snacks to bathing suits, bags & shirts helpful for the vendors. If you don't get anything from the vendors there are plenty of places to eat & drink along the beach. My only complain for the beach was that the water it is very rough, crazy strong current u can feel the pull just standing in the sand. We got to see beautiful sunsets, sunrise & were even lucky enough to be here when Lady Gaga played, crazy crowd by her hotel, rehearsal was a mini concert definitely a very cool experience. Nice stretch of beach, scenery is lovely & it's a great way to spend any time during your visit in Brazil.

I'm impressed by how clean the beach is when we get there in the morning! ... evening is another story. Of course, there is this statue of their famed son Ayrton Senna (1960-94), who died on the race track ...our first stop in Rio is to visit him.
