I'm very conscientious about my oily scalp and scrubs don't always accomplish the squeaky clean feel but the headspa treatment does and the scalp massage feels so good. Personally for me for the body massage he was a little too strong. He used a lot of elbows and each time he did that I had asked him to go softer as it hurt me too much. Someone who likes extremely deep pressure would be happy. When he used his actual hands everything was perfect. There was also a lot of rubbing over the sheet which I'm not used to. I didn't realize until I was done that all body massages are done face down with Covid going on. I understand safety precautions but if I would've known this ahead of time I definitely would not have not gotten the 60 minutes as it is too long to be face down with a mask on. The reflexology was so relaxing. I did a half hour the pressure was perfect. I almost fell asleep at that point. They also had a plastic barrier between you and the therapist. Would come back for the reflexology. Update: i originally gave 4 stars. I had to change it. my back is so sore i couldn't even sleep on it. I feel like I am bruised all under my skin. Unfortunately the pain I'm in overshadows the good things about this place. I go for massages a lot, never been this sore after one. She welcomed me into her inviting, cove-like space on the 1st floor of Institute for Spiritual Development (right next to Cafe Pierrot). I layed down on the warmly heated massage table fully clothed and she quietly worked her way around my body with a gentle touch, ending with a cranial-sacral massage (a really *amazing* scalp massage). Her touch is absolutely intuitive and I could swear she was reading my mind. She gave some extra attention to a hip that has been bothering me and seemed to take a little longer massaging my neck - it felt so good! I really felt so taken care of and in the talented hands of a healer. While it wasn't a traditional full-body massage, you could've fooled me! I ended the treatment so incredibly relaxed and in a great mood for quite a while. I had a delicious night's sleep that evening and I think I was breathing much better too. I worried that perhaps the "therapist" just had an off day. Then it hit me. Who's going to worry about new customers coming here and shelling out $150 for an hour's worth of mediocre tepid substandard whatever this was? I will. What about my endless long work hours that would shock most people, coming to this place for a decent massage to relieve the bad body effects of extreme overwork but walking out with zero effect? I'll worry. Not one knot found, much less kneaded out. Zero reflexology. Faking it over and over. She started off telling me - not asking me, but telling that she doesn't talk "because she listens to the body." Guess her hands were deaf. I've gotten massages for decades here in the U.S. as well as other free countries. This wasn't just a below average massage - the only massage worse than this was a masseuse in her 70's down South that after just running her hands tepidly over my skin here and there, she left after she tried selling me a Bible. They're so charming down there I couldn't get mad. And I had never returned to Bennesere until today. My prior visit, I was subjugated and subjected to -and I'm not kidding you: an hour of unwanted Russian propaganda talking points. You think I'm kidding? I'm not.
