The customer is secondary to the friendship of the property manager and his peasants.
We've rented @ Ivystone for the last 3 years. What's it like living at Ivystone on Palmetto? The property manager James will not tolerate a woman speaking assertively regarding property issues; he's quite fragile. Specifically the issues of their 3rd class landscaping crew, Procutters, and some ill willed maintenance workers. Procutters is made up of one guy, one zero turn, and 4-5 kids in their early 20's and younger swinging weed wackers while simultaneously dismembering baby geese and baby ducks. Religiously, the workers destroy geese nests. Crushing them, tossing them in the garbage and the like. Launching eggs into the retention pond is a sport round here. When James was made aware he told us DNR told him to tell Procutters and maintenance to destroy the animals. We have pictures of the dismembered little birds and Tik Tok videos for proof.
While the geese, ducks and their messes are annoying, there must be a better way to deal with them.
Our Rent, paid. No noise complaints. No overdue late payments. No neighbor complaints. No dog complaints. ZERO issues other than us reporting these crimes to DNR, often. Our reward for trying to bring light to this horror? We've been asked to leave with a 30 day notice.
When we tried to acquire a Rent History from Ivystone for another prospective property, the gals in florence fell short and literally refused to help.
We've reached out to Helen who answers phones, also in the Florence office, she is condescending, careless and quite clueless. There is a severe lack of communication between offices, the staff on site and customers.
Careful, Mike from maintenance will tell you he will have you evicted if you question him regarding the slaughter of the chics.
He'll also fly down the middle of the road and swirve at the last minute if he has a problem with you.
Side note: Even though we've changed the filters often, BLACK dust/mold/must accumulates around the vents.
Spend your hard earned money on a place that appreciates your rental business. Ivystone should be a last resort; always.
