I'm currently sitting in a 79 degree apartment with my three year old. The blinds are broken. The paint job is terrible. The dishwasher is about to fall out of the cabinet. It leaks. The drawer that held nothing broke and the maintenance guy fixed it with MY duct tape. My air broke two nights ago and the man couldn't come to fix it even though it's 88 outside. Potholes are deep enough to break the tire completely off. The gate has been broken. The fridge has been broken and the guy says it's "settings". I'm furious at how much I pay for this crappy place. It's dirty. All the time. There are stains everywhere that won't come up. This is the worst place to ever go. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more

Renting an apartment from Powers Properties is a nightmare. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company. Do not waste your time trying to call with an after hours maintenance emergency, because Powers Properties does not have a working phone number for after hours emergency maintenance. The apartment complex I live in features unsafe conditions, unsanitary conditions, run-down buildings, outrageously high rent for the quality, mountains of trash every weekend, rude, lazy, incompetent staff, and incompetent, lazy maintenance workers. There is no after hours or weekend maintenance at Powers Properties. If you have a problem with your Powers Properties apartment, it will not get fixed. By the way, do you ever want to use the dishwasher AND take a hot or warm shower on the same day? Not at Powers Properties apartments, you can't! The hot water heater isn't big enough. Plan your chores accordingly. There is mold and mildew in my heating / cooling system, but I'm going to have to wait several days for Powers Properties to fix it. Apparently they don't consider that a maintenance emergency. Shameful!! read more

Yeah, Power Properties is pretty shabby (bad)!! I would NOT recommend anyone rent from them. Lived there for a little over two years. There were always groups of people hanging in the breezeways, children tearing up things. I had mold in my bathrooms, and I had to make four different calls within a month to find out why no one was coming to assist the problem. They told me they didn't know anything about it. Maintenance was always lousy. They'd come and fix things half-way. Then as I move out they throw in ridiculous charges. Even thought I gave my notice (7-days prior to new month) and moved out by the 1st, they still charged us a month's fee, trying so say it was affiliated with 30 days from which the notice was given. If I didn't live there within that month and you had the keys, I should NOT be charged with a whole month's rent. That's just common sense and atrocious, theft-like, and absurd business on there end. That's a way of Power Properties trying to legally STEAL YOUR MONEY!! read more
