Yaay Power Planter! I used the 3" x 12" auger for my last garden project - it sure made digging a dozen holes a heck of a lot easier. It will certainly come in handy when I plant spring bulbs. If you are an avid gardener and have to dig holes for planting or you simply want to make amending your soil easier, I'd highly recommend a garden auger. DO respect the warnings and absolutely take the time to read the instructions - if you're not careful, or youre not completely comfortable or sure of your power or cordless drill, wrist injuries are certain. I think a garden auger is a terrific investment and I find myself defaulting to using it even if I'm planting small 2 or 4 inch plants. I'll probably make a decision to purchase a bigger one, but for now I'm pleased. read more

Established in 1988.

Power Planter Inc. was started in 1988 by Wayne Niewold, and ownership passed to Wayne's grandson, Greg, in 2015.

Meet the Business Owner: Greg N.

Greg took over Power Planter in 2015 from his grandfather, Wayne Niewold, who invented and developed the business in 1988. After teaching agriculture for 8 years Greg came back to run the family business in 2013. After 2 years of managing the company, and Power Planter Inc. seeing substantial growth from Greg's "go get'm" attitude ownership was passed to the next generation.
